“It was the place guest house I have ever stayed. It is difficult to say that it was a guest house, I think it was my second home. She acted like she was our grandma, giving her love, laugh, kindness and generosity. Breakfast cooked by her and her husband Nabil (who is the professional chief) are incredible and delicious. Her breakfasts are like lunch, after her breakfast you will need to eat only a dinner, since she provides so much food for breakfast. Whenever you approach to her, she responds immediately (towel, cleaning, food, help...). We became close friends during 2-week stay, even one family. She even bought a big toy four our son and cooked a free farewell dinner for us, so we had a family talk with her family. It is located in the heart of Red Hook, everything (grocery, cafes, shops and CVS) is so close to her house.I highly recommend to stay only there in Red Hook, if you want to feel the big heart of local people.Rooms: Rooms are fantastic, clean, big and warm.Nearby activities: Everything is around, 2-5 min.Safety: Cameras everywhere, very safe.Walkability: It is the heart of Red Hook.Food & drinks: Incredible and delicious, and a lot.”

“What a lovely motel. Tucked away along the side of the road you will find this GEM! The room was immaculately clean, smelled nice, large room, bathroom was beautiful. Plenty of towels and soap, coffee for the morning. Bed was super comfortable, they give you your own door code for the room. Felt very safe here. Sitting area out front if you want to enjoy a nice brisk morning.”

“The most magical place. The complementary breakfast is decadent and having dinner at the corner restaurant is an absolute delight. The staff is very thoughtful and they even included at handwritten welcome card in our room when we checked in. If you're planning to stay in the hudson valley this is well worth a visit if only for a chance to dine at the corner.”

“I wanted to go upstate for the fall, and Jenny's was the only place where I could find a booking on such short notice. I can't believe I got such a great room for such a good price. The place was spotless (most important thing), and the room was surprisingly spacious. Breakfast is offered, but as I never partook in it I can't say how it was.

Since most of the critical reviews seem to focus on fundamentally aesthetic concerns, let me say that the place is not at all outdated, gross, or dirty. Both the rooms and the grounds were spotless. Also, it has a cute vintage charm that perfectly complemented my weekend getaway to historic hudson valley. It's not a sad, soulless gray box like many modern motels and hotels are. More motels should look like this!”

“A jewel in the center of Saugerties. Well-appointed rooms--with fantastic bathroom--just steps away from the action in town. This is the second stay here. Are recommending to friends and we will be back.”

“Great hotel with a perfect location. It’s very convenient for trips to the ski area or hiking in the Catskill Mountains—everything is within a 30-45 minute drive. I can’t say enough about the staff’s customer service; they truly went above and beyond our expectations and made us feel very welcome.
Our room was very clean and looked recently renovated, with new furniture and carpet. The beds were extremely comfortable, which made resting after a long day easy. We also really enjoyed the jacuzzi after a busy day—it was an excellent and relaxing experience. Highly recommend this hotel for both active trips and a comfortable stay.”

“We spent two nights at Hutton Brickyards and really enjoyed our stay. The property is a former brick factory full of history to explore, and the accommodations are very nice. We stayed in a Forest Queen cabin, which was the perfect mix of cozy and modern. The bed was very comfortable; we both got great sleep. The property is dog-friendly, so our little chi mix was able to enjoy the cabin as well.

Hutton Brickyards was easy to get to without a car by taking Amtrak to Rhinecliff and then a cab to the resort. Once we arrived, there was plenty to do on the property and within walking distance. We ate at the River Pavilion which offered a beautiful view of the Hudson and good quality gastropub-type food. We took a great hike along the Empire State Trail, and explored a cool abandoned cement plant. In the evening we enjoyed the fire pit, and saw the most intense rainbow over the river. In the morning, we went to the sauna.

Throughout the whole experience, we were greeted by very friendly and accommodating staff. It was a great blend of a cabin getaway and a hotel stay.”

“Great spot in the middle of Rhinebeck. The Beekman is full of suprizes and an historic destination unto itself. Food was ok (meh) and service in the Tavern was a but pretentious. Atmosphere was great.”

“The ladies that worked here really made our stay. They were so sweet to my 3 year old and to my dog, when they so didn’t need to talk to them or interact with them. My daughter loved the ladies that worked here and I was impressed by their hard work ethic. We stayed at this motel for a week and every time we came back in or went out, I always saw them working. They were non stop cleaning and running around getting things done. Our room was clean and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice and updated our room was. I would 100% stay here if I’m the area again. The pool was also perfect temperature. It was warm and not freezing, like all the other hotel/motel pools I’ve been to.”

“This hotel was in a perfect location… right off the Thruway! No, it is not a luxury place but served our needs. We were gone all day and only came back late every night to sleep. The pool was warm , though we didn’t have our swimsuits with us in May. Friendly staff!”
