Me and mom asked if they make and sell homemade sofrito and they had no idea what sofrito was?? we still bought food anyway and the food was amazing. We loved it and came back. “I want to make a special mention about a wonderful employee, Paul.I couldn’t get into my car today and my phone was locked inside so I couldn’t even make a call. He was on his lunch break, made a call to my insurance carrier from his phone, and waited until he was sure they were coming to help me before he would eat. When I offered to give him money, he so kindly said, please just do this for someone else if you see they’re in need.Once I was able to get back in my car, he was at the end of his break and came back to check all was ok. I stated I really wished he would take the money, he still kindly refused. He never made me feel like I was a burden and was just such an amazing gift of a person. I hope the universe is always as wonderful to him as he truly deserves.”

“Busy day. Hour drive for a weekend getaway for the wife and I. We were hungry and really didn't know what we wanted. Drove by and this place looked crowded. It's those unadvertised hidden gems. Pretty standard market but the hot food counter was great. Got rice with peas, with beans, oxtail and chicharrones. $12 and there was enough food for 4. chicharrones was crispy and delish. Oxtail was okay - very fatty but great flavor. Hopefully I can talk the wife into getting an order on the way home lol”

“I was in the Riverhead store last month where I had a bad experience with one of the cashiers his name was nature and he was a rude nasty kid, I came up to his line and I gave him the scan it handheld scanner he scanned the gun, he refused to help me bag my groceries and he ring a other customer up and then instead of asking me if can help he then took his phone out to play video games or text, there was a manager there he did talk to him about that, then I came back Into the store July 5 th I went on his line again and again and he scanned the handheld scanner and after when I payed he yelled at me and in a nasty tone of voice he said DO you want me to bag for you and he through his hands up in the air and I told him his mom should teach him how to speak to people, I want to the manager on duty and told him the same thing what happened last month with that cashier and then I told him about his attitude this time and I don’t understand why nature has a hearing problem because his other manager I spoke with last time he said he would take care of it but I guess nature doesn’t know how to listen to his manager because if he can yell and throw his hands up in the air and disrespect stop and shops customers he should get fired”
“The place is amazing. Delicious produce and amazing home made baked goods. The owner is a kind woman and she is very helpful. It is a wholesome, relaxing setting. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area.”

“Very helpful staff, always has great products including produce, meats, foods from different countries..very great selection for all..cheap milk eggs cheese and meats...I would suggest coming here for that stuff and cheaper home items but go to king kullen for whatever you can't find here. But come to Lidl first and then go to King Kullen...you can spend 75$ in here and get 20/30 things versus going to King kullen in eastport where $75 gets you 4 items and a 50c paperbag that rips on your way into the house. Not many grocery selections out here in Westhampton. I would suggest taking the extra 20 minutes and go to "shop rite" in riverhead...that store has EVERYTHING. But if you are in Westhampton its a good spot to get items to make dinner or have a picnic or snack under the gazebo. Friendly staff. Good spot ??”

“Schmidts did a wonderful job catering our staff and faculty Holiday Breakfast. They helped us to figure out what would work best for our group and made sure we would have everything we needed. The food was delicious and really made the event special. I would definitely recommend using them if you need catering for an event.”
