I came today 10/26/24 with my wife and 4 kids to celebrate one of my kids birthday. Immediately noticed that the room temp was way cooler than normal, my guess would be that it was about 72 or so degrees, but we thought that the water would at least be warm.... NOPE! the water felt about 72 degrees as well. I overheard many other guests complain about how cold the air and water was. For most of the day the only water attractions that worked was the lazy river, and some slides. The kitty pool was closed and I have to little ones that were disappointed. We ended up leaving early because we were all cold and all of us had goosebumps. Thanks for the waste of money and time, we're all disappointed, and it wasn't cheap.

We were there this weekend with our 4.5 year old daughter. The staff in the kids club and Wanda the Witch seriously made it a really special event for my daughter. Wanda did a story time on our second night there. When a little boy couldn't find his dad during story time, she seamlessly comforted him and continued the show. She was really a star. This morning, the guests absolutely raided the cereal selection and the young guy working, who I think was deaf, left and came back, rolling a cart of various cereals, making sure people leaving the area saw them. The young guy working in the arcade also showed great kindness to my daughter, offering to trade out a prize from the claw machine for the one she was super excited about but couldn't get. Little acts of kindness and personal touches by all of the staff made this a unique place to stay. My daughter is obsessed with Wanda the witch though. Really a special performance for these kids. I can't say enough great things!! We will definitely try to come back next spooky season!

Check in was at 4 pm. Room was not ready until after 5. Half the slides were closed due to being understaffed. TERRIBLE customer service. Rooms and food are overpriced. No options for food during certain times of the day. If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Will never be back. Don't waste your money here, go elsewhere.

Front desk was great, room was clean. The negative was the vending machines were empty, snack bar was empty, no beer. Restaurant sat us for 40 minutes and no one ever came for an order so we left. I understand the cost for a high amenity place but useless when nothings available. Been coming her a few times a year to entertain the kids but place has progressively gotten worse.

Six Flags Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark was a fun experience, especially for families with young kids. The indoor waterpark is the main highlight, with plenty of slides and a lazy river that kept us entertained for hours. However, the rooms felt a bit dated, and the dining options were somewhat limited. Overall, it’s a decent getaway, but there’s room for improvement in the amenities and upkeep.

Water cold, unlike water safari but, no lines and he stayed in water park most of the day. Food expensive and very run of the mill.

We went to Six Flags Great Escape Lodge and Indoor Waterpark about two weeks ago. I’ve organized my review into different aspects of our stay starting with the good, and then the not so good.
WATERPARK: The waterpark was of middling size and included several waterslides, a lazy river, “surfing”, and other activities. It was the perfect size for our autistic nine year old daughter, but I can see older kids being a little disappointed there’s not more to do. I love that it was attached to the hotel. The life guards and attendants were very vigilant and kind. For instance, the lifeguards would splash the people at the front of the line on the big waterslides, but when we got to the front, the lifeguard (young guy, blond hair) carefully cupped water in his hands and carried it over so my daughter could feel it. We were really appreciative of his kindness! However, the slides were often closed (we went multiple times throughout each day we stayed at the hotel), and there were almost never any towels for guests. It was also really, really loud — lots of people shouting and music blasting in an inclosed space. Still, my daughter loved it.
ARCADE: My daughter also loved the arcade. My only other experience with a similar arcade is Billy Beez, but this was such a better experience. All the games worked — AND THEY WERE AFFORDABLE! Each game was like a dollar to play, whereas games at Billy Beez can be $2-$5 to play. Additionally, there were plenty of “win every time” crane games so she was sure to win something. Also, I LOVE the girls at the main arcade desk. My daughter wanted this red owl from the crane game in the upstairs arcade. We spent probably $10 trying to get it, but because of where it was located, we physically couldn’t. When we explained the issue to the girls, they went right upstairs to make sure she would be able to get it. I honestly think it was the highlight of our trip. The smile on her face when she was finally able to get this red owl that she wanted so badly… I’ll never forget it. Thank you so much, ladies!!
THE ROOMS: If I am being honest, the rooms were a complete letdown. We stayed in the double queen room with a sitting area. The room was dark and kind of dingy. The carpets were worn and threadbare. The bathroom was dingy (not necessarily dirty; but the grout around the tub was discolored, everything was kind of grimy and dull looking). Also, the beds were quite literally the worst beds I have ever slept in, and that’s really saying something because I travel for work. They were lumpy and uncomfortable, and somehow, the pillows were worse. Additionally, we asked for fresh towels the second morning of our stay, but we never got them – neither did multiple other people in our hallway, if the blue slips of paper outside of the doors were any indication. Room service was all right. We ordered supper two nights in a row. The first night it took 45 minutes for the food to arrive, and the second night the food arrived faster, but it was somehow cold. We tried to explain some requests to the person who took our order (extra salt, preferred condiments, that sort of thing) but they weren’t able to understand what we were trying to say. Might’ve been a language barrier. But still, the price was right — we got a meal for myself, my husband, and my daughter for about $35. Lastly, we ordered the teddy bear welcome package expecting it to look like it does on the website. Instead, the teddy bear was just tossed on one of the beds — definitely not worth the $35.
Overall, I would certainly return. My daughter loves the waterpark and arcade, the staff is friendly, and we enjoyed ourselves. However, we paid almost $1000 for a two-night stay, and that price is simply too expensive given the quality of the rooms and the other issues we encountered. So the moral of the story is: search for sales so you won’t be disappointed.

My family went overnight, to celebrate a birthday. The "Continental Breakfast" didn't open on time, no edible food except what was provided in the small refrigerator. One bed was lumpy and caving in.
We wish we had read the reviews before booking. Very disappointing.

Been here 3 years in a row since 2021 and will never go back. First two years were great, great staff, understanding and helpful. Great food options, and tons to do. This year in April though, we went and when we were 5 mins from checking in got a call saying the water park was down till least the next day and we could stay that night for free or leave for a full refund or reschedule. We chose to stay because I traveled nearly 3 hrs and just couldn't do it again that night and figured what the hell it's just a night. Well we check in and our damn door wouldn't shut and took nearly 2 hours for someone to come fix it. Fast forward to the next day, water park didn't open till 2-3. Everything was going fine, till a lady harassed by 8 year old autistic daughter and I rightfully got pissed off. Her children were constantly in my daughter's space even though the kids area was basically empty. I asked the kids multiple times to stay away from my daughter's immediate space because boundaries duh. They didn't listen, and I couldn't tell who the parents were, they weren't watching. Needless to say, my daughter was uncomfortable and ended up doing something about it. (No she didn't hurt them or hit them) Not comfortable going into my daughter's issue. There was a lifeguard there and saw how frustrated my daughter was getting and me for yelling at someone elses kid to stay out of my daughter's face and up her ass. They never did anything to help. It wasn't packed so no excuse for the kid to be so up close and personal with my daughter. And no excuse for the parents not to be watching and getting drunk instead. The mother was verbally abusive and tried getting into my face. Blaming my child for her kids actions. I spoke to a manager and we left because they wouldn't do anything other than kick them out to their room for the night and said the actions of their guests isn't their problem. The lady was visably drunk and instead of taking action they coped out. They refunded me for the next night after a fight and a half. But wouldn't refund me for the night we left which was completely bullshit. We didn't stay over night so it should have been at least partially refunded for the hell it was. We left at 10pm because it took me fighting with them from 6pm to 10pm to at least get refunded for the last night which was the next day even though they knew I had a 3 hr drive home with 2 kids. The year prior someone was visably drunk and causing a scene and they handled it so much better. ( Had nothing to do with us I just witnessed it). Along with them wanting 14-16 for a personal pizza now when it used to be that much for a normal size pizza is outrageous. I'm giving 2 stars only cuz of the 2 years prior were great. They've become greedy that's all. They are not good with dealing with drunk people. Or accommodating disabled people. Be warned.

Location is what led to the visit. Our room was not available at 4 pm and we were not offered a late check our or anythiny. The rooms had issues with the plumbing having the sink was clogged and pool water when we washed her hands.
The water park portion had metal rusted prior to getting here had the hopes it would be comparable to great wolf. It definitely was not.

Oh where do I start. Okay be prepared to wait to get a room at least 30 minutes. The rooms are okay but the service sucked really bad. We have been here since Monday and it’s Thursday and no one came to clean the room at all. Called room service for towels because I took all of our dirty ones out expecting for them to see and bring more nope not happened at all. Called to reception and got well get them to you and guess what nothing happened. 20 minutes later I called and I they were surprised we hadn’t got them go to reception and ask for towels and the gentleman at the desk was so rude because he had to hand them to me because I didn’t feel like waiting another 30 minutes to get them. Be prepared to see a chiropractor when you return home because the beds are awful, I am so disappointed that me and my family have had the worst sleep on vacation ever it’s like sleeping on a box spring so hard we are not rested at all like we can’t wait to go home and sleep properly. One would think vacation means rest and relaxation this has been the worst. No rest and painful. You might loose water pressure or water period when washing showering it happened twice. the water park it’s small and cozy family friendly didn’t have a problem at all my kids loved it. And the best part the theme park is a short walking distance.

I booked the biggest suite they had and called the day before to change to a room without bunk beds the woman said no problem and changed me to another suite, or so i thought. I arrived and the suite had bunk beds and a super loud AC in the main room. I asked for a room with no bunk beds my kids are 2 and 4 and are not big enough to sleep on top (or they have never tried and were scared) they stated they had no rooms the guys at the desk were great but then they went to get a supervisor Hannah who had zero empathy and stately directly we don’t have that room you can cancel if you want, for their mistake no apology and asked to cancel a vacation for my kids. She was very rude and walked away. Then they stated they sent someone to repair the AC and when we got to the room after playing in the water park we realized that was far from the truth. i have videos of how loud the AC was we did not sleep at all, every time it kicked on we would all wake up even my kids would wake up scared. Finally I was exhausted and called again at 11pm and they stated they don’t have night maintenance and they will write my name on a list and why not turn off the AC when it was 90 degrees and muggy. So in all it was a terrible experience as I left I asked for someone from management other than Hannah to call me, they stated that the GM would who I even left a message for. He never has. I will never ever go there again just for the lack of cleanliness and service all together. Also the “continental” breakfast was lots of expired prepackaged danishes, disgusting!

PLEASE READ AS THIS IS REVIEW OF THE INDOOR WATER PARK ONLY, NOT THE LODGE OR OUTSIDE PARKS. I gave 5 stars as my family including my two kids, wife and group of friends with their kids had a great experience. BE PREPARED TO SPEND MONEY. Parking is $35 and a far walk, unless you pay more for preferred parking which is directly behind the waterpark building. For food, spent $69 for 2 diet cokes, 1 chicken tender w/fries, 2 hot dogs w/fries, and a pizza (which was 2 small slices). Quality of the food was good enough but portion sizes are definitely smaller than average. There is an hour and 15 minute break between 1:00-2:15pm where the park is closed (that’s when we got our food). It’s a smaller kitchen so when everybody orders at once, it does get backed up making the wait feel worse since you’ve built up an appetite from running around. The park otherwise is well staffed and friendly even in the stressful situations they’re put in. Understand that the lifeguards have an important job, they take it seriously, and are strict as they should be, to keep everyone including your kids, safe. It’s an obvious number 1 priority. The parents who I witnessed get mad at the lifeguards, were the ones who didn’t intervene, NOT EVEN ONCE, to their child’s poor behavior after lifeguards blew the whistle and gave verbal warnings. Overall, the condition of the place is good, not perfect but don’t expect perfection here. Just behave, follow the rules, everyone will be safe, have a fun time, and the positive experience and memories you will share with your kids makes it worth every penny.
