Come in the buy end of season products and I was greeted by the sales person and warned about their unfriendly dog, gets a 1 star warning for the other dog owners. I should be able to be a responsible dog owner and not have to worry about a dog in the store. Wow

I frequently shop at Hewitts Garden Center and I’ve always been thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. The garden center is a true gem for anyone who loves plants, gardening, or simply spending time in a beautiful, well-organized space.
The selection of plants is incredible—everything from vibrant flowers and lush shrubs to unique, hard-to-find varieties. Each plant looked healthy and well-cared-for, and the staff clearly takes pride in maintaining a high standard of quality. The layout of the garden center is also excellent, making it easy to find what you’re looking for while also discovering new inspiration for your garden.
What really sets the Queensbury location apart, though, is the knowledgeable and friendly staff. Jess and her staff are more than happy to answer all of my questions, offering expert advice on plant care, landscaping ideas, and even helping me choose the right soil and fertilizers for my specific needs. Their passion for gardening was evident, and they made me feel confident about my purchases.
In addition to the plants, offers a wide range of gardening tools and decorative items, making it a one-stop shop for all your gardening needs. The prices are fair, and I appreciate the frequent sales and discounts that make it even more affordable.
Overall, Hewitts is a fantastic destination for gardeners of all levels. I left with everything I needed—and more—for my garden, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!

This local plant nursery is an absolute gem! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a stunning variety of healthy, vibrant plants—everything from beautiful flowers to lush greenery. The selection is impressive, and it’s clear that the staff takes great care in maintaining the plants. Speaking of the staff, they are truly wonderful—knowledgeable, passionate, and always eager to help. Whether I needed advice on plant care or recommendations for my garden, they took the time to guide me with expertise and patience. The prices are reasonable, and the quality is unbeatable. This is now my go-to spot for all things green. I couldn’t recommend this nursery more highly!

Lots of potential but a real disappointment. They are living in the 80's. Store is dirty, disorganized and generally the last stop to find anything. Worst web site on the planet. A low class operation.

I was completely blindsided by the level of customer service provided by Carter today. He was eager to answer every last question we had about hydrangea and rose of sharon trees. Customer service is a lost art but its alive and well at Hewitts in Queensbury because of Carter. Will 100% be back!
