Wonderful shop with a great staff and owners. The carry all high quality products and are an asset to the neighborhood. Also, they open their backyard so patrons can let their dogs loose and run around.

We are regulars at The Regal Beagle, and for good reason. From day one, Sandra and Louie have been so good to our dog Marty. The store is small, but stocks a good selection of treats, toys, and pet food, as well as emergency pet items, ch as cones or paw tape. If you don't see what you need, ask - they are very receptive and happy to place special orders. Perhaps the best feature is the backyard, which they keep open to neighborhood dogs - it's a great spot for a pup-date! So happy to have Regal Beagle around the block and part of our neighborhood; we love you guys!

I love this place for so may reasons. The owners truly have a lot of heart and passion behind opening up the store and showing up every day. I have a personalized experience every time I go. They even take pictures of the visiting pets and post them on the walls! This place has a lot of community and I always walk out having a warm and excellent experience.

I adopted my first pet, a cat, over lockdown. When I returned to Astoria after being away, I was happy to find the Regal Beagle had opened. Every time I go in with a question or need Liz and Louie are very helpful. The community of sweet cats, birds, and fish who live there make it a friendly atmosphere to shop in.

Cannot recommend this place more highly. It is a GEM of the neighborhood. The owners have created such a warm, loving environment where people can gather, meet other pet-owners and just hang out with their pet(s). And not only is the back patio area a godsend, the store itself is fantastic— They have everything you could ever want or need for your pet and if they don’t have it, they will order it for you and keep in stock. It truly feels like an establishment fromanother era where the owners know everyone’s name (and everyone’s pet’s name!) Regal Beagle is my home away from home.

Such a nice place. They’re well stocked with a variety of things- and cute selection! The prices also felt comparable to what I’ve seen online and at more commercial places. Staff members were also super pleasant and helpful at providing recommendations, and so sweet with my dog.

Loving supporting small business for my own regal beagle! They are always very welcoming and give our pup son treats. They have a great selection of food, toys, treats and some dog clothes. There's an outdoor area perfect for social time. Highly recommend!!

Really great place for dogs and their owners ?We took our puppy Bailey today to the backyard and he enjoyed it so much! He met new friends and we completely loved the whole environment. We will definitely be going back all summer ?☺️

Louie and Sandy treated our rescue pup, and my 8-year old son, like royalty. We wanted to shop locally to get our new family member set up. We got everything we needed for fun and function. We'll be back!

I was so excited when they opened and have been a couple times because I love supporting local businesses but the last time I visited they gave me attitude for coming in with my dog. To a pet store. The man (I think the owner?) was glaring at me as I walked around the store with my dog looking at different toys and treats. He then rushed me through my transaction at the register to get me to leave so he can take care of other customers, making comments under his breath, and anxiously looking around to make sure everyone else did not feel ignored. Maybe they don't like large dogs and only cater to the "designer" breeds? I don't quite understand what could have bothered him but after that experience I don't plan on returning.

As some may know there is a pet food shortage (some pet shops aren’t even doing stock checks when you call to see if they have what you need) and this has me calling a lot of new places looking for whatever few cans they might still have in stock.I called ahead and the lady was very helpful and knowledgeable. She also had what I needed for my dog (which was huge).When I got there to pick it up I asked if she had my cat’s favorite as well. While they were out of her current food (which no one seems to have in stock and it’s been stressful for months now) she suggested a new food which we will be trying.I recommend this shop.
