Such a wonderful oasis with great views of Manhattan. The breeze off the water is lovely

One of the most depressing looking “parks” I’ve been to in NYC. Very poorly maintained, and the “sculptures” are reminiscent of 90’s junkyard. I would not recommend coming here.

Small with few sculptures. Perhaps in restoration? Nice view by the water.Socrates Sculpture Park was established in1986 by American sculptor Mark di Suvero. It was once an abandoned landfill and illegal dumpsite. In 1998, the park officially became city park.

This shouldn't be a tourist destination at all. It is the worst place to visit. Waste of so much time. There were hardly any sculptures to see.

Unfortunately, not many sculptures. Some are broken and incomplete. When it rains it's incredibly muddy since a good majority of the park is not paved properly.....in some areas at all. Such a shame for a park that has been here this long. There is not even a restroom and it's not wheelchair accessible.Playground: PLENTY of grass and open spaces.Restrooms: None.Dog-friendliness: PLENTY of grass and open spacesPicnic area: PLENTY of grass and open spaces

A nice park overall but it is not well kept, it is bugs and mosquitos infested. It has become disgusting and quite frankly the sculptures aren’t something to be awed at.Picnic area: Saw a few picnic tables

What happened, Socrates? You're building a giant new admin building but the grounds are a mess--muddy and unkempt. It's supposed to be your big exhibit right now but you only have about five pieces up, one of which is a giant grill, so now in addition to the park being a glorified dog run (no one keeps them on leashes, btw), it's just another park for a bbq. And also--where did the chimes go?!

It's a great sculpture Park, taking all the visuals as you walk around and experience all the senses.

Such a great place to bring your dog and be able to get them to socialize. First time going and being introduced. There’s the little beach area if your dog wants to jump in the water and cool off, and there’s also this really cute dog cafe across the street to grab a bite to eat.

2 stars because i came for the sculptures and art installations and there werent any. I shouldve double checked the website and i would've seen they are in between exhibits. It was a nice relaxing time to get away from the city, there are nice waterfront views. I just made the trip out here for nothing. So if you're going because you want to see any of the structures and art, just check the website first.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome but they must be on leash.Picnic area: Picnic areas, i believe there's even a bbq area..
