Wespaw Pets
44-05 Queens Blvd, QueensThe best pet store in the area. The best thing about this store is the team that works there. They are knowledgeable, kind, and wonderful with my little pup. After moving here she became very shy but they never gave up on her and now I can't walk by the store without her demanding to go in. A few times, I've had to run over for something and they are always ready to help. She once got a tummy ache and they had just the thing. Oh my gosh and when she had 13 teeth removed and refused to eat, they recommended a yummy chicken broth and it was like magic.

Modern Pet
212-77 26th Ave, QueensI have been buying from this store since it's inception... The friendly staff is knowledgeable about the merchandise and high end dog food. Miriam the groomer is wonderful, she treats my corgi with love and the cost is comparable . I needed a leash and harness for my Corgi who is difficult to fit. Sean ( the owner) immediately assisted me and presented a set that fit perfectly. So if you aren't happy with the prices I suggest that you try PetCo. Renting a store in BayTerrace is extremely expensive probably equivalent to Manhattan rates. I don't mind paying a little more for the customer service and quality merchandise. Thanks Sean! Veterinary Care Group - Middle Village
6209 Fresh Pond Rd, QueensI want to thank the entire staff. They went well beyond job duties to provide comfort and condolences to our loved Foxy. From the minute you walk in, you can see the care they have for the family members that they are attending to. Compassion is what a lot of other vets lack. They treated my loved one as a family member. One staff member even cried with us. Foxy was a special one because she overcame many of life's obstacles before her time was called. They even sent a card with entire staff signing with messages. Give this place a try. The staff will not disappoint. The doctors are amazing, and just as a side benefit, prices are acceptable. The Diaz family thanks all of you from the bottom of our hearts.

Boulevard Animal Clinic
11249 Queens Blvd, QueensTLDR: would recommend.TW: Pet lossMy family came in September because one of our pups needed surgery. The staff was kind and professional with an amazing bedside manner. We came back a week ago because this same pup was not doing well, and we knew we might have to make that tough decision. The same vet tech (?) was there, and she remembered our girl. She was so kind before the doc came in.The doc and vet tech both examined her, and we had an honest discussion about what was best for our dog. We ended up putting her to sleep and appreciate the kind and supportive nature of all the staff. We chose to be with our dog as it all happened. Additionally, we cremated our dog and had her remains sent to us. The packaging was beautiful along with a paw print plaster-cast.

Austin Veterinary Care
68-60 Austin St Store #8, QueensMy 14.5 yr old cat was throwing up every 2-3 days, not eating, had 2 seizures, very smelly soft poops and yowling 2 hours each morning the last three weeks. My regular vet took blood work on 12-19-23 and only saw mild anemia their ekg was down, half their staff had respiratory illness and it was the holidays. We went to Williamsburg on Xmas eve because she had a 2 nd seizure and all they could do is recommend we leave her so they could observe another one, no ekg or sonogram, so we took her home. We were at our wits end, just helplessly watching her die. Then we found Austin street veterinary. We called on 12-27-23 and they saw us that evening, treated us with the upmost caring and respect. They did bloodwork, EKG gave our baby fluids for her extreme hydration and we had a sonogram appointment scheduled for 1-2-24. They did everything they could to help and we were not alone anymore. Unfortunately on 12-28-23 our “Little One” stopped eating and was in pain so we put her down. The bloodwork came back extremely anemic, liver and kidneys extremely elevated and possibly poisoning (we were feed Purina Live Clear). We will never forget their kindness and how they tried to help us. We would highly recommend them to anyone that has a pet. They can’t do miracles, but they care and that means a lot when your pet is ill.

Fat Puppies INN
39-24 Queens Blvd, QueensI cannot say enough positive things about Fat Puppies Inn where I left my one year old Akita Malamute mix baby named Rocky for boarding. We are repeat customers. From the moment I dropped him off, I could tell he was in great hands. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and they ensured that my pup felt comfortable and at ease during his stay.I appreciated the fact that they kept me updated with pictures and messages throughout his time there, which put my mind at ease knowing he was having a great time. The facility itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with plenty of room for the dogs to play and socialize. When I picked up my furry friend, he was happy, healthy, and seemed genuinely relaxed. I could tell he had a fantastic time during his stay. I will definitely be bringing him back for future boarding and would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of a safe and loving environment for their furry family members. 88-25 247th St, QueensThank you Robyn and team, particularly Donna and Rianne! Because of you my family is able to go on vacation again! On our weeklong vacation this past month, we were able to leave our senior dog, Pennylu, at home alone. Donna and Rianne visited four times daily. They fed Pennylu twice a day and walked her four times a day which is the maximum number of walks. Our senior dog is incontinent and had several accidents in our house in between walks. They kindly cleaned up after her accidents with paper towels we provided. They keep a notebook of all the care they provide and our dog’s activities. They even brought in the mail! They go above and beyond to provide a reliable service. We are already planning our next trip away and we know that Pennylu can stay in the comfort of our home being cared for by a dependable team. We no longer have to bother our extended family to care for our incontinent senior dog. I am so glad we found this amazing service!

Dog Island City
42-60 23rd St, QueensWe take our 5 year old rescue pup to Dog Island City for occasional daycare, grooming, and more recently for intensive training. Our dog has a history of abuse and can be a bit anxious. From the initial few visits at Dog Island City it was clear the staff cared for her and noted what made her comfortable (they decided to keep her in the area with smaller dogs where she felt more comfortable even though she is medium sized). This gave me peace of mind when leaving her. Their grooming is always good too - we have never had any issues or safety concerns, and she comes home smelling fabulously. We don't request anything too specific or fancy though. Finally, we recently used Violeta (the manager) for intensive boarding & training for our dog. Our dog stayed for two weeks and we got frequent updates on her progress. She was clearly well cared for throughout her stay, went on tons of walks and hikes, and definitely had a great time. Through this training we also learned that our pup unfortunately has PTSD from her prior abuse and this is what led to her anxiety and behaviors. We now have started her on the appropriate medication and learned a bunch of techniques on how to best manage her triggers. Violeta took such great care of our pup and clearly put so much time and energy into training her and caring for her. After the two weeks of board and train, Violeta held a session where she taught my husband and I how to continue the progress she had started. She has even continued to check in periodically to see if we need any ongoing help or tips. We will absolutely use Violeta in the future for training/boarding and recommend her to anyone who wants to help their pup.

People there seem friendly and they have paper towels and spray if your dog pees. However, the place is fairly small. I would say having about 10 small dogs would be enough for them to run around? I was there when 2 big poodles, 1 corgi, and 2 other small dogs and my cavapoo who is about 12lbs. I wish it was a bigger space for them to run around ?Nonetheless, it's a cute space for a quick stop to have your dog have some playtime.

Almost doubled back for another one it was so good (self restraint won).Delicate, flaky, caramelized crust. Fluffy, light, moist pull-apart center. I usually find glazed pastries too sweet, but this one was perfect - just sweet enough to hit the spot but not too sweet that it feels heavy. The balance of flavors is just right. They support you along the way in every single step and provide EVERYTHING. All you need to provide is your loving home, love to the new pups coming in, and drop them off at adoption events. I fostered two beautiful dogs Rose and Kami who just made me sooo happy. If I ever had questions they were always available to help out and I never felt alone. If you are considering fostering look no further and do not hesitate!Adopting:The most unexpected thing happened to me while dropping off my foster at an adoption event. I fell in love and met my new fur baby !! The adoption process again was so organized and they set me up for success with supplies and recommended trainer. You will get everything you need from medical records, learnings from previous fosters, and not to mention a community !! They will follow up with you and again you are never alone! You can always reach out to learn more or ask questions.Korean K-9 changed my life for the better and if you are ready for this to be you look no further!!
