If negative stars would an option, I would give as many as possible. State Farm scheduled a pickup for me through this Hertz. I got there and they were closed. It’s also in a parking garage and not even a store front. A guy that works in the parking garage told me the hertz had been closed for 3 weeks for no reason at all. Choose enterprise, hertz is horrible.

According to hertz policy they can’t place holds on the card seven days after the rental is returned. however its been a month after abd they are still charging me. they have charged me almost 1,500 for a tow they "called" but that never came, so I have to pay 1,500 for a call ???? Do not come here and waste your money the customer service will only redirect you a million times and not help a single bit. i do not reccomend this service to anyone

REFUSE PlatePass, which is a service where they charge renters the maximum allowable toll PLUS $21.95/day for a convenience fee to drive through any toll booth.Plus, the person working the counter works impossibly slow and doesn't seem to care about anyone waiting.

With the exception of Chris who was covering the manager the service here sucks. Manager is in La la world most of the time and more than once has screwed me over because of the incompetence of her doing her job and communicating with customers. I would avoid this location at all cost. Which greatlt sucks for my since it’s close. So from now on I’ll pay more but I’ll go to enterprise. If you see a female manager run but stay if you see Chris, once again he is great. Profesional and on point.

Why the mid-aged lady being so impolite to the customers? After seeing all these complaints about the service, I decided to complain to the Hertz official. She is not qualified for this job.

9/11/2023There isn't a low enough rating for Hertz in Flushing NY. Toyota Corolla 2021 with 55,000 miles, Filthy car, smelling like smoke, with an unsafe shimmy over 45 mpr. Rude hertz employee, the woman wasn't interested in hearing complaint and dismissed me by saying " Have a nice day". Sent an email to Hertz Corporate and will wait to hear from them before contacting the BBB.

Customer service was indifferent to hostile. I'm not sure they even want to rent cars at this location. I had a reservation but 45 minutes later cancelled online because the agent had disappeared -- for the 3rd time. The car I had requested was not ready and she very rudely questioned "Do you need this kind of car?" -- then tried to get me to rent a Chevy Suburban or a minivan. I was very disappointed and somewhat shocked by this -- I've never experienced this kind of behavior at any other location. Please avoid this Hertz location if at all possible.

I arrived at 10:15 am to pick up a rental I'd reserved on their website. The location is below ground in a parking garage and the the Hertz office is a small portion of the overall facility. By 11:00 am they did not have my car ready and I cancelled the reservation and left. I rented from Enterprise, which was great. Here's what happened:When I was finally greeted after waiting 5 minutes, I was asked, "Do you really need this kind of car?" I said yes, and she told me it wasn't available at this location but was at another location. I was told to consider a Minivan or Chevy Suburban. NO! Then I asked, "Where is this other location?" and was told, "We'll have them bring it to you. You'll have to wait." Next the agent left for 10 minutes. I had no idea why she left, but when she returned, she said they had the car. Then she went away again and returned and said there was a power failure so she couldn't vacuum it. I was surprised because all the lights in the place were on. She went away once again. At no time was anyone pleasant or trying to be helpful. We were getting late for starting our trip and this was getting worse. When she didn't return after another 10 minutes, I cancelled our reservation online (I couldn't find her to tell in person) and called Enterprise. They told me they had the same car I'd tried to rent from Hertz and it was considerably less money. I went there and within 5 minutes was on my way. Everyone was cheerful, customer service was exceptional, and even their restroom was spotless. the car was also very well prepped. In summary, I'll never go back to this Hertz location because of a dirty, smelly facility and indifferent to outright hostile customer service.

Please do NOT rent here!The girl is rude and assume that I need the car (it is true, I need the car)My bill is $67 above the quote. She wrote the gas 7/8 and it was 3/4. When I asked about the bill and gas, she said "take it or leave it". I have no choice because I need it for my work.You cant smoke inside the car. But the car smell like someone smoke.I complained to Hertz corporate but they said "it is what you signed". I got an $48 extra hour because pickup the car 20 minutes early and returned it at 9:36am. They opened 9am but the staff was late until 9:30am. So I have to pay for her lateness.

Poorest rental service ever encountered, the day i arrived the only choice was either a truck or Tesla while i reserved for a normal med size sedan, while not notified prior when returning with a minimumcertain amount of batteries left, u not only get charged a EV charging fee which is totally fine, but an EXTRA 25 dollars fine called undercharge battery fee, don’t you need to notify ur customer prior when they rented the car? Was charged a total of 139 for one day, super ridiculous, would not recommend any rentals here.

We booked a midsized sedan through Hertz on Expedia and arrived at our checkin before 10am and were soon greeted by Nat who looked at me and asked if I’d like a bigger car because I was doing a 1000 mile drive to Atlanta. She was quick, prompt and fabulous with her getting a bigger car ready for us. Her words “it’s a long drive and you’re a tall man, so I think you should have a comfortable drive”.It was the most amazing road trip I’ve done and was super comfortable. My wife and I could not stop thanking Nat for helping us have such a wonderful experience. She deserves much appreciation for being so warm, friendly and thoughtful. Thank you Nat.
