I am rating this place a one star for now because no one picks up the phone at the douglaston place. I have been calling for days to ask if there is an available one bed room but it seems no one wants to helpm

Had the pleasure of living here for 7 years.Let me just say that during Covid all the workers were working overtime following all guidelines and keeping the building CLEAN.They are up to date with appliances and Apps for putting in service requests. Very fast and easy to use.Maintenance staff is truly one of a kind and hard working.Prime location (express LIRR will get you into penn station in 10 mins LITERALLY)Sweet and kind neighbors. Safe neighborhood.Surrounding businesses are closed by 9/10 so it’s very quiet at night which is a huge plus.I would recommend this residential building to all my friends and family :)

I am reviewing this as a one star property for now. I have tried for the last month to get in contact with the leasing agent as I am looking for a one bedroom. I have run out of options as no one has responded to me. I am hoping by posting this review I can get some assistance with seeing the property and putting an application in. If I can get some help I will reconsider my review. Thank you.

The elevators never work and are always being repaired. Now the garage door doesn’t work, and matinance doesn’t pick up the phone and you can’t leave messages. Very disapointed

The parking lot is in desparate need of repaving, there are a lot of cracks and potholes. The elevator also needs replacement, it is frightening to go into because its so old. Please fix immediately!

I've lived here for 8 months now, the renovated apartments are in fact very nice. Great kitchen and bathroom aesthetically, the washing machine works great as well. So I can't complain about the actual unit. However this is the only " luxurious" part of the luxury building. The elevators are very old , very small, grungy and so slow. If you're running late for anything just forget about rushing. The Garage door from the parking lot constantly breaks down causing big delays in exiting or entering. The parking lot is poorly kept with massive potholes and in the winter! Forget it- the cleaning job is not great. The neighborhood is great and the block is nice with convenient restaurants across the streets. Its just shame that for the amount of rent and the " luxury rentals" sign slapped on the building... it doesn't feel like a luxury experience, the lobby is extravagant but there is no seating either. The management team and the super seem responsive, I haven't had too many issues in the apartment where I needed to contact them and they are friendly when I see them. Its not a terrible building. Just not worth the rent.

Lived there a year ago. What a terrible place-but the management is the worst of all. If you don't mind cockroaches and unresponsive, indifferent, and rude management, this place may then be good for you.

Great area to live in, but avoid Fairfield Properties. They're crooked. This was a luxury building in 1950, but NOT today. It is old and outdated. The renovations were completed poorly. The air quality in the apartments is very poor and will cause migraines. Probably due to all the asbestos in the building.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! My apartment is absolutely freezing (gets below 60 degrees for a majority of the day). I’ve had to buy 3 space heaters to keep it warm which has caused my electric bill to sky rocket. I’ve called Fairfield about this problem at least 20 times and they are extremely rude and essentially accuse me of lying about my apartment being cold (they are in control of the heat, individual tenants can’t control the heat in their own apartment). I’ve been told that about half the apartments are like this, so I guess if you move here you have a 50/50 shot of staying warm in the winter.

We want to recognize Lynn Fox, Leasing Consultant at Fairfield Properties, for the exemplary customer service she has provided us in our search for an apartment in Queens/Long Island area. Lynn is a wonderful person who went above and beyond in understanding our needs and worked with us on our schedule to show us the apartments that met our requirements. We were coming from out of state on weekends to do our search and Lynn made sure she was always available to show us the apartments when needed. We settled on an apartment in Fairfield Manor and signed a lease and then on a later date Lynn called to let us know another apartment became available that may better meet our needs. After seeing the other apartment, we wanted to change our lease and Lynn worked with her management to ensure we got the other apartment at no cost or fees for making the lease change. Unbelievable but true. Our lease is scheduled to start on a Saturday, and Lynn has offered to gives us the apartment keys the day before or personally make the time to meet us on Saturday as that works better for us.In this day and age it is rare to find an individual like Lynn, who truly goes out of their way to serve others and make a difference in others lives.Oh and the way we found Lynn was when we were walking outside Fairfield Manor apartments on a Sunday, a tenant was moving out as he had a job change and he told us his positive experience living at Fairfield Manor and praised Lynn for helping him out in a search a year ago. So when we called Fairfield Properties we asked to meet with Lynn and ever since can't thank her enough for all that she has done for us.

I used to lived there from 2010 to 2013, I must say I regret moving out of 43-60 douglaston pkwy. The management team are great. The building super is excellent. When ever I have any apt issue the problems are always fix right away. Very very very very very Quiet Neighborhood, even on 4th of July. This is the safest & best neighbor I've ever lived in. Less than 25min to nyc by LIRR. I truly missed this neighborhood!!! It's worth every penny!!!!!!

DO NOT LIVE HERE! This place is absolutely awful. My boyfriend and I have lived here for a year. Everyone here is rude. The building claims to be dog friendly but then gives you so many issues about having dogs. They will fix NOTHING. Since the day I have moved in my buzzer doesn’t work, my shower is broken, the water from my fridge doesn’t work and they refuse to fix anything. Not only is everything broken but it’s EXPENSIVE to live here. This is no luxury apartment building. My boyfriend was trapped in the elevator for 3 hours that they refuse to fix. The garage door closes on your car as you’re driving through it. I can’t say enough about how miserable this past year has been.
