Steady customers for years and we're suddenly told that our tanks were in the wrong place and they would charge more than a thousand dollars to move them 10 feet. We are having the tanks removed. New company will install for free. Losing a loyal customer.

I had a Generac 24KW Generator installed in 2021. They did an outstanding job of installing at 500 Gallon buried propane tank then hooking it up to my generator.I just recently converted my boiler to propane and used the existing buried tank to feed in the boiler. Although another plumber hooked up the furnace, Star Gas came out to my house to ensure the gas line was hooked up correctly (it was), and I am now on automatic delivery with them. OUTSTANDING customer service! I'm glad I went with them.

Had a problem where the delivery person from Star, Eric, realized that I had run out of propane, which was not typical for my usage. He quickly got in touch with his office. They got in touch with me, and he not only helped me identify the source of the problem while he was at the delivery site, but remedied the situation inside my house, which required restarting my propane, hot water, and heat. Eric and Star, bailed me out. I am quite grateful. Their service has been impeccable. And their pricing is unmatched.

I recently had a backup generator installed for my home. Gerry and his partner came out and in the rain installed the gas line, regulator, vent ect. they did a excellent job. they are hard working caring and take pride in there work. thanks guys and thank you to Robin the gentleman who laid out the job. I have no hesitation in recommending Star Gas. Keep up the good work.

Looking for a propane supplier/installer who really does earn five stars? Look no further than Star Gas. From Robin, the onsite estimator, to the installers, all were professional, patient and respectful with my many questions, experienced and neat & tidy. After work was completed at my home, my building inspector had to check over the work -- "They did it the right way! And used the best materials!" Need I say more? Thank you everyone at Star Gas for a job well done.

I have been a Star Gas customer for 24 years. The experience has been very satisfying. How many companies have a president (Rich) that when short handed with service technicians would step out of his office, roll up his selves and drive to my home to diagnose and fix my issue? On July 3rd my pool heater would not stay lit. I had a big pool party set for July 4th and my pool water temp was still too chilly for comfortable swimming until Rich showed up. I expect to be a satisfied customer with star gas for another 24 years!

I installed a Generac 22KW from Essential Power Systems (great and knowledgeable) in November 2022 in Poughkeepsie, NY. Before I did, I was looking for a propane company and called several. I wanted to install the tanks about 135 back from the road and all three companies would not go beyond 125 feet. Two of the companies wanted to install the tanks on the other side of the house and then dig a trench around to where the generator was to be installed. Both of these two companies did not know the cost of the trench excavations and were 'guessing' how much extra it would cost but they thought that it would cost around $500.00 extra. I called a friend of mine and asked who he used for his propane fueled generator. He suggested Start Gas. I talked to Robin Moore from Star and he suggested that I put 2-3 100 gallon tanks next to the house which would meet building code and still give me the need side setback clearance of 10 feet. Robin knew area building code and was not just a salesman but but he knew what could/could not be done. The actual cost was less than the estimate because I prepped the ground area before the tanks were installed so I saved 2 man hours of labor. Lisa from the office, followed up to make sure I was happy. Robin Moore deserves a rating of 11 out of 10. I was going to go with 2 tanks and he suggested 3. He gave me a link to research and I went with 3 tanks. I am VERRY HAPPY. They are great and knowledgeable people to deal with.

Absolutely the right decision to switch to Star Gas last year. Delivery service is very reliable and the office staff is smart and professional. Why did I wait so long to drop a much larger but pricey and undependable propane company? Without hesitation I recommend Star Gas.

Last year we had a whole house generator installed and obviously needed to get a power supply. Star Gas was extremely helpful in advising us as to size of propane tank. They pointed out the pros and cons of above and below ground tanks. After many questions, we decided to go with their recommendation. For the installation they came at the appointed time and did a smooth job. i highly recommend them to anyone that is in need of their service and product. A++++

This is a topnotch company. The guys in the field were easy to work with in getting our tank in for our generator. I don't have to worry about fill-ups with being on autofill. Lisa, in customer service, has a wonderful personality and is easy to talk to!

Nothing but positives based on my experience with Star - I had a whole house generator installed at my home in addition to a pool heater which required a large tank and significant tunneling for pipes to be laid. The team at Star handled everything from connections, working with electricians, procuring and burying a massive propane tank under my lawn to walking me through the entire process. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and detail-oriented individuals - they continue to be a real pleasure - a very strong recommendation!
