Any questions or concerns were answered before my lease began. Awesome rapport with the manager. Great overall experience. Will continue to do business with them as well as telling people about easy the process is.

I went into the Poughkeepsie, Ny location in search of a replacement computer. The store was far less than presentable with the door glass broken and the showroom barren aside from a few couches n washers. Of the 3 desktops I looked at in the back storage 2 of them were damaged. The other was upwards of $5,000.00. I opted to go to the Kingston location to see if they had a computer for me which is 40 mins from my location. I was told by the salesman that since I lived in Poughkeepsie, I was ineligible to buy the computer from them. It would have to be transferred to the Poughkeepsie location. I asked if set up a profile and if I did everything digitally, could leave with it from that store instead of waiting for the Poughkeepsie location to pick it up. I put in all my info and paid for the first installment as well asked if I could out an extra $100 down and even signed up for auto payments. Afterwords I was told to wait for the Rental Agreement email, which I had to sign before I could leave with the computer. I received no email. I was then told that the Kingston location had bad service (even though I had full bars and was on the phone with the Poughkeepsie location and it was crystal clear), and that I should drive around to find better service. I drove down a few blocks spamming refresh, double checking all the folders in my email and got nothing. now going on the 2-hour mark since I showed up to the Kingston store, after which I was told the entire town of Kingston has no service...? I ask if they can email a copy of the agreement to Kingston, and I will sign they said no. I asked if I could sign a paper copy. Kingston said yes but only at the Poughkeepsie location. Poughkeepsie said they don't do paper copy of the agreement. I gave them a second email and still nothing (even though both emails were receiving emails fine in real time). So, after jumping through every hoop and making every suggestion I could to make this happen, I was finally told they can't help me, and I couldn't have the computer. While I was on the phone with the manager brain, he was completely distracted with the other employees talking about "5 kids? F*** that. Couldn't ever handle that s**** and diverting into every other conversation beside helping me on the phone for about 30 mins. The Kingston employees (a heavy set African American salesman) made it a point to walk away from me every chance he got to sit in the back room or scan TVs instead of helping me with the situations. I felt like I was annoying him by existing in that store. In conclusion, I've never had an experience where I had to work and come up with solutions to buy a product. The staff was unprofessional, uninterested, unhelpful, unknowledgeable and frankly rude and ghetto. Not only will I never return to Rent-A-Center. I will make it a point to discourage anyone who asks from shopping there. If these people are the front line of your company, it amazes me that you still in business. I went to Best Buy and still got my computer, the same HP aio Desktop for $100 less the same day within 30 mins. I'd Gladly pay full price for my item if that was what I have to go through to BUY something from this company. NEVER AGAIN!!!

The staff at the Poughkeepsie store is amazing..They have treated me with nothing but respect. They are very knowledgeable about the products they sell and try to get you there right product that suits your needs. I will never do business with any other store but the rent a center in Poughkeepsie.
