I was impressed with their sales . Buy 1 get 2 free !!! That's awesome ! but when I went to the service desk for assistance to sign up for my Price Chopper card , I was told I had to KNOCK ON THE WALL to get the customer service rep.
Excuse me ? Knock on the wall ???????? That was a huge turn off .
No honey , why don't you call a manager . What did the manager do? She knocked on the wall . This is why customer service is not where it should be .Beautiful store tho!!! Would I go back? Yes, I would . They have a great selection of things and the store is bright and clean .

I love this store! I usually shop at Stop and Shop because it's on the opposite side of the street near the stores I often frequent. But I've always been curious about the store so I took a walk over. I LOVE it. The prices are reasonable, the fish counter seems to offer fresh seafood, the store is well-organized and everyone was pleasant. I'm fairly new to the area and I don't drive so my choices are slightly limited. I'll be shopping at Price Chopper much more frequently than in the past, and an added bonus: the bus stops right in front of it!

This pertains to Price chopper on route nine in Poughkeepsie. It's not my usual supermarket but each time I stop in I noticed how clean it is. Organic food section is bigger in other markets but overall, this location does an excellent job staying on top of cleanliness and keeping shelves stocked.

This is for instacart! I ordered last Monday because I knew I didn't want to go to the store. I spent almost $200. It was my Easter dinner ham and Easter candy. The delivery was set for Saturday night between 8-9. At 8:30 I received a message that my order was cancelled. We went to Price Chopper to pick up what we needed at 9:00. Obviously, the order wasn't filled because there was nothing left in the store. The sad part is they could of notified us earlier. We could have gone somewhere else. Very poor business.

I have shopped at this location for almost 30 years, I just wanted to say thank you to the management and staff. Especially during this time, I have seen all of them exercise concern and patience with shoppers. I have always received such good customer service but during this time I just wanted to give a shout out for going above and beyond. Thank you and stay safe.

Ordered a cake for my mom birthday, took 30 mins to get someone bake to the bakery , someone from the front of the store came back and helped , girl at the bakery cane back to work with her boyfriend who looked like he didnt work there.m. The came had a huge crack in the middle asked her to fix it said she could not i told her different way to fix it she said no and returned to talk to her boyfriend i went to guest services they saw the cracks called and the girl in bakery said if she did it anythjng it would change the cake .. not sure how gave them 2 stars cus i got a discount but her bad attitude escalated and info is sent to corporate hope she finds a new job with her easy bake oven.

FIVE stars for Price Chopper, ZERO stars for INSTACART I shop at Price Chopper every week. I have no problem with Price Chopper. This weekend, however, I was sick, so I used their delivery service, run by INSTACART - a separate business. INSTACART charged my checking account for more than my total bill. When I contacted INSTACART, they insisted that the bill was correct, and tried to blame substitutions that THEY made as the cause of the price difference. Their math didn't add up. After informing them that I would be speaking to the NYS Attorney General's office and then hanging up, I checked my checking account online. SURPRISE! Within 20 minutes my overcharge was GONE. Not adjusted - the entire withdrawal post was GONE. I went to my account on their web page, and guess what - price total adjusted down by almost $40.00. I will continue to shop Price Chopper, but if I am ever in need of delivery, I'll pay a friend to do my shopping.

I went to Price Chopper on South Road in Poughkeepsie last winter when I went there to purchase angel food cake that was: buy one get one free. I got me two cakes and once I went to the register and the cashier rang up the purchase, the ring up did not register a discount. I told the cashier it was Buy one get one free, and she was like: "Its not ringing up so you are gonna have to pay $2.99 a piece." I told her: "there is a sign right on the display it says 'Buy one get one free', She was like: "Really." and I said. 'YES! could you please go and look." She refused. and said, "You're gonna have to pay..." Flustered, I said, 'Could I speak to your manager." She then obliged. The manager came and was very nice to me when I told her my problem, She was polite and said: "I'll go back and look." And she did. She soon came back and told me I was right, 'The cakes are buy one get one free." So, of course I got my discount, but I am still annoyed.... Why such trouble over a simple purchase??? I even like Price Chopper fish fry. But can the attitudes!

I stopped in on the way back from upstate, out of curiosity. I was most impressed with the fish dept. there is an awesome and some are artistic, fish and seafood. The whole fish are fresh; clear eyes and bright gills. Overall, they carry a larger variety of seafood. In the aisles I've never found seafood broth before, or smaller, in ounces, pantry foods. Not everyone needs "Club size". They also have a floral dept. that has quite a variety of bouquets, loose flowers, and some unusual items available. They will create custom arrangements.
