My husband and I stayed here on the night of our wedding and it was a nightmare. The tv did not work, the curtains didn’t close and to top it off as we were leaving a light falls on my husbands head. The place was overpriced especially for how it is literally falling apart. The hotel manager didn’t really care when we brought this up to her attention. Honestly avoid at all costs and splurge somewhere else. We also had to pay for parking which made no sense since we were already paying for this overpriced hotel. Click into the picture to see the light fixture that decided to fall as we were leaving.

You can find hotels that you think are a bargain, but you are better off sticking with one chain. For us we stay hilton because when we travel we are greeted like family and acknowledged for loyality. This is our go to hotel when we go upstate and love everything about it.

Loved eating at the Bistro next door. The server Jade was awesome! She was personable, kind and very friendly to our kids. The renovation looks great, room was great, but our highlight was the service at the Bistro!!!
Food and drinks: The food from the Bistro was great! My kids are picky and they enjoyed it. With a little encouragement from the server Jade! Great experience!! Thank you

We used the Hilton Doubletree for one of our hotel blocks for our wedding in August and it was a great experience! The link to book was easy for our guests and the hotel was very willing to work with us on how many rooms we needed. Peter was EXCELLENT. He went above and beyond; he helped us assemble our gift bags when we were in a hurry and he suggested and made a shuttle schedule for our wedding. They also have rooms that you can rent to get ready in for bridesmaids and groomsmen! Staff was super friendly and helpful. They were going through some construction while we there so I can only imagine how awesome it looks now! Overall I would highly recommend getting a block at the Doubletree in Poughkeepsie for your wedding!

First I want to say Brittney and Ana are amazing front desk workers. Recommended me amazing foods nearby. Told me everything I needed to know and went above and beyond. The neighborhood is good because it has all types of food. Not too far from the metro north station. Amazing service and amazing renovated rooms. They accommodate. Recommended and will be back. The gym is bigger than alot of other gym hotels. Pool is closed but everything else makes up for it.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with a recent experience at your Poughkeepsie location, which has significantly impacted what should have been a joyous occasion: my daughter’s wedding.
During the after party celebration, a security guard rudely interrupted our event, engaging in an argument with one of our guests wife’s over drinks .His behavior was unprofessional and confrontational, to the point of picking a fight with a guest. This completely disrupted the atmosphere and left many of our attendees shocked and uncomfortable, not only was he angry, but try to shut down the bar earlier than expected, and rudely told a couple of guest that they were privileged white people which I think is unappropriate, racist, and very unprofessional.
We chose Doubletree Hilton for this important event based on your reputation for excellent service and hospitality. However, the behavior of this security guard was far from what we expected from a respected establishment. Such actions reflect poorly on your hotel and staff, and they marred a day that was meant to be filled with happiness and memories

I recently stayed at the Hilton Poughkeepsie and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The hotel was undergoing a massive construction project during my stay, which significantly impacted the quality of my visit. Despite acknowledging how disruptive this was, the hotel still charged full price—over $400 per night—without offering any compensation or discount for the inconvenience.
Additionally, I was supposed to receive a discount for a wedding room block, but after speaking with the staff multiple times, I was told nothing could be done. I contacted the general manager several times to address these issues, provided photos of the disruption, and received no response or resolution.
I cannot recommend this location based on the lack of customer care and the poor handling of what should have been a straightforward issue.

Do not book this hotel. Sketch area. Under construction. Poor room setup and horrible food. Felt like a jail cell and nothing worked.

Most of the wedding guests stayed here due to the close proximity of the wedding venue (Grandview)
The surrounding neighborhood is disgusting but the Doubletree was the shield from the horror.
General review of this place gets
2 out of 5 stars. Doubletree is currently undergoing major renovations in the lobby so all guests had to enter through an alley that connects to the elevators. It was extremely unfair for this place not disclose the construction to my cousin and his wonderful bride. Check-in counter was a bunch of tables with garbage bags to shield guests from the dust. Felt like quarantine. Bride and groom were furious over the experience.
Just came back from the post breakfast (continental style). Hard boiled eggs had to be at least a week old - I gagged after a bite and spat out the eggs — Bagels and donuts were super stale, Oatmeal was slimey — Food was generally unfit for human consumption excluding the cereal which was prepackaged.

Moved my son into SUNY New Paltz and stayed the night. Needed a good night's rest, and I got it. Room was clean (besides some hair in the tub), hot shower, plush bed, TV. It was everything I needed for a great night's rest.

My room was fine - pretty standard. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Not the greatest location, though. A little bit sketchy neighborhood, and the locals I talked to were surprised to hear I was staying in that part of town.

In the middle of construction, but also failed to do maintenance in rooms. The handle came off the shower, the air conditioner would not stop running, it was freezing, elevators felt like they were going to break down. I usually like staying at hotels, I was glad to leave this one.
