Very wide selection of games and systems, only issue is they will lowball you a bit if you decide to sell to them

Joe was super helpful and they had a ton of retro games and consoles in stock. Prices were very reasonable and I will be a returning customer for sure!

All you can want from a local games shop. Customer service is lacking. Prices are competitive. Clean and organized.
A demo station would be cool if you're taking suggestions. Something to get people to come more often and hang or tournuments?

Largest selection of modern and retro games I've seen in a long time! Went in with a list of about 10 games and they had every single one of them, at a very reasonable and fair price. Will 100% be coming back!

It's nice to still have gaming stores considering everyone mostly downloads games digitally. There was Lots of variety at this store. The worker there that day was helpful. Just know that any popular titles of games are probably not going ? o be available or sell out super quickly. I paid $30 for a NFC reader for my original Nintendo 3DS. Couldn't find any game I was really wanting. But I would check it out again when I'm in the area. I loved that all the games are alphabetized so makes it easier for sure to find.

I stopped into this store over the weekend after a very long vendor event, killing a few minutes while we waited to go somewhere else. The 3 stars is because the selection is pretty darn good and they look like they take great care of the product and know the business well. Walking past the vintage games and feeling the nostalgia of my childhood inside the cases is great.
My issue, however, was with the sales person working behind the counter. I'm unsure of their name (working around 3pm on the weekend of May 4th) but 1. He never left his seated position, scrolling on his phone/laptop/pc and 2. When we went to leave, I gestured and said "Have a great day". His eyes never left the screen he was looking at and ignored me. When opening the door to leave, he let out a frustrated sigh, presumably frustrated that I hadn't purchased anything. I know that in the vintage gaming industry, it can be tough. It's a niche market and there's gonna be some bad days. But the make/break for these kinds of places are those you place as the face and voice of that store. In the case that in the future I am looking to purchase vintage games/consoles, I will not be returning there because of that interaction. Losing future business over a simple "Have a good one"? Not great. Thank you Joe Gamer for offering what you do, as I LOVE the gaming world and I can imagine youngin's in the area making that store a valuable part of their childhood. But I'd be more diligent about who you place behind that counter and what the mission of the business should be.

The worst customer service experience I've ever had in a store. Went there to buy a game, and the kid behind the counter was so rude and unhelpful. The game I bought was slightly tarnished with stress marks on the center hole. This was not a surprise, considering it was a used game. So I asked if they had other copies, which was met with a serious attitude. The kid behind the counter said all the discs were just like that, tested, and there was a refund policy if it didn't work(which would have been reasonable, minus the rude tone and comments). He continued saying that "I'm not trying to rip you off here" and other snarky things with serious attitude. I analyzed the "new" disc to find white crusty debris on it, which I was able to scrap off with my fingernail. Despite all of this, I went forward with buying the game. The final straw i had with Joe gamer came a moment afterward when I turned back around after leaving the store and saw this kid (through the front door) throwing his hands into the air and throwing a temper tantrum. I watched him for a long moment as he insulted me, calling me names and carrying on and on. He only stopped when he saw me approach the store where I returned the game. I've heard from multiple different friends that the people who work in the store were unpleasant, and my visit did not disappoint. I will never return to this store or give my money to a company that has such little regard for basic customer service or human decency.

Joe Gamer is a hidden gem. They have the biggest selection of classic games than any store I've been to in the tri-state area. Joe is friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone!

This place is great. Lots of retro games and systems at really good prices. Also if you have games or systems you want to sell you can get store credit. Fair trade-in prices.
