Dawn Petrus (at the Poughkeepsie location) has been taking care of my taxes for the past 3 years. My returns are kinda complicated since my mom left some investments to me when she passed away. I have learning disabilities and I'm totally clueless when it comes to my finances. Thankfully, I can completely trust Dawn to take care of my taxes each year. She's excellent.

I found Anne to be patient with me and explained things to me that I was not clear on. She gave me her full attention. Although I lost two jobs due to the pandemic. One at West Point military Academy, and soon after I got laid off due to the pandemic at a drug and alcohol counselorKnowing my financial hardships, Anne did not say anything to console me. In fact, she charged me $294.11 for a 10 minute service and I had to pay taxes to the state and to the IRS, $900.00 total for state and IRS . I found that a little bit compassionate during these Covid times. Maybe Anne could have been so kind as to wave the H and R fee or gave me a discount? Well, live and learn I suppose! Hopefully 2021 will be better. Deana Perillo
