Car was okay. Gave us a car with a half tank of gas and it kept flashing that an oil change.was due. I've never rented a car with anything less than a full tank before.Our car was due back on Saturday. They were going to charge an additional 2 days if we didn't make it back by noon since they close early that day. We made it back, but it left a bad taste...

Wish I could give 0 stars. Was charged $288.30 for my rental on 03/08/2024 from my Uber pro card. My rental wasn’t extended due to insufficient funds but can clearly see on my statement that it was. If it wasn’t then that $288.30 would be in my accounts but it’s not. Nobody can give me any answers. The branch I rented from is closed on the weekends so I cannot work due to the fact that they will snatch another $288.30 and will be SOL. Don’t rent any cars from hertz for Uber, you will be scammed out of your HARD EARNED money if you’re not on top of your statements. I can’t make any money because of this. It’s a SCAM!!!

I rented 3 cars through Uber to drive for them and the entire experience was terrible. Customer service and professionalism are lacking with the exception of 1 or 2 people and they never answer the phone. The first car had an expired insurance card inside, the second car that I returned on the 8th had a Plate Pass but now they are trying to charge me almost $100 for tolls, and the last car I rented had no Plate Pass at all. I returned 2 cars after hours on the day they were due with a note of what time I returned them because I had to work and both times I was charged an extra $100 as if I kept them an extra day. I have been on the phone with Hertz and Plate Pass for over an hour and no one will help me, and no one at the office or on the phone will help me. No one ever told me to get a toll package and I never had a problem with the first or last car, just the second one that they are now all of sudden trying to charge me tolls for. Now I have to escalate with Uber and my bank because I refuse to pay for this. Overall this is probably the worst experience I've ever had renting a car and I will never rent from Hertz again. Even Enterprise is better and more professional and didn't have random surprise charges out of nowhere. I seriously feel like I've been scammed.

Don't rent here. They gave me a car with a strong smoke smell, then tried to blame me for the smoke smell, even though they marked it that it previously had a smoke smell.

Customer service works terrible. I especially come to make sure they will accept my Debit Card for rental. After a week I come to pick up my car and operator said that they can't rent me a car due to lack of US Insurrance. They supose to tell me that way before, especially i ask EXACTLY about documents and data required.That one star that google forces me to give is for location because there are reliable car rental companies nearby.

Horrible, dishonest and dysfunction office. I used this location as a 2 day rental from Travels insurance claim and it was a nightmare still ongoing. They don't answer the phones ever when they have promised to pick you up they will be late. They also fraudently charged me for the optional insurance which I refused. I signed at the end to accept the rental as discussed without additional insurance and they apparently marked it as I accepted somewhere hidden I did not see. Been getting nowhere except an attitude from the manager and staff about their mistake I have still not been refunded as promised for the fraudulent charge and they refuse to answer the phone. Do not ever deal with this place

Unfortunately, additional funds were stolen from my card unlawfullyI told the landlord that I could return the car before 02:30 and he told me that there was no problem.On November 24, I returned the car at 2:05 p.m., but I found that the rental woman had closed the glass door and indicated that the keys should be placed inside the mailbox, where she placed the keys as she requested.I did not understand this until I found out that my card had been debited for about two additional days of rent even though I showed up on time, and the man who works with them told me that they closed that day early at 2 pm because it was Thanksgiving, even though the normal closing time is 5 pm, And you came at the right time.I was hoping to rent from them several times, but unfortunately it seems impossible to deal with unprofessional peopleThe biggest problem is that this dealing is illegal, and I have proof of dealing with this tenant, and the case is being referred to the relevant authorities.I was surprised by the comments that many people recently had the same or similar problem, and I also call on them to file a lawsuit against such thefts with any company that commits such violations.

The worst! They didn't have the car i reserved on line with my credit card so i had to upgrade to a more expensive vehicle when i got to the store (typical bait and switch). I returned the car with a full tank of gas and then i see a fuel charge on my card. The worst thing is this location as well as Hertz corporation will not call me to discuss this issues. Terrible customer service! Go down the road to the other rental companies, they care about their customers.

This particular business, in Poughkeepsie, New York are thieves. They overcharged me they left me on hold over 40 minutes each time I called to address the overcharge. I had to literally go to the office and still did not get to speak to a manager when I emailed the branch manager he tried to tell me that I had the car five more days than what I did, he had no idea what was going on in that office. I’m pretty sure he gets the largest paycheck there Finally, after I showed face two days later I received somewhat of a refund it was not a full refund. I will never ever rent from them ever again!!!!

Reserved a car ahead of time. Drove almost 50 miles to find out they had nothing for me. Useless.
