Rented a car in April for a week, after I returned the car, they did not check it back into their system and someone else drove it for a full additional week, which they charged to me. I raised it both to this location and national, and both did nothing about it.

Reserved car was unavailable they downsized me (I'm a big guy 6'9" tall). They offered a 65.00 credit on the next rental I will probably never use. The car was on empty, but at least it was clean, and the staff was very courteous.

I thought I lost my wallet in a car rented there and they were SO Helpful when it came to tracking the car until I was able to look for it myself. Lo and behold my wallet was in the couch between the cushions.

I reserved a vehicle online only to drive there and be met with a extremely nasty attitude telling me that the reservation is false and they have no cars. Please hire more professional people with less attitude.

Im not usually one to leave 1 star reviews but this was a frustrating place to deal with. This place will not answer the phone. We were scheduled through the insurance company to be picked up and escorted to this company to get a car because we have 0 car right now and its 30 minutes away. The reason it was scheduled through insurance is because they will not answer the phone. They are 40 minutes late and again will not answer the phone. Its impossible to speak to a real person and i have no idea how this issue is yet to be resolved as ive seen this same exact complaint in the reviews that go months+ back. All you get is an AI generated text and thats it. Very unprofessional and dissapointing. If you arent already frustrated before talking to this place 100% guarantee you will be after hearing the phone ring for 30 minutes. Reccomend going to literally any other car rental company.

Terrible experience. This is the second time, I was hoping the first time was a fluke but this place is just terrible. I had a rental scheduled for pick up at 10:30am, when I called at 9am to confirm they told me it was moved to 12pm. I was very accepting and said okay. I get there at 12, they tell my husband it’s 12, we’re closed. Now why would you schedule a pick up for 12pm KNOWING you close at 12. The staff just stared at me thru the door shortly after 12, when I went to figure out what was going on, the guy inside says it’s after 12, we’re closed…..we were here at 12 and told the store was closed. They just continued to stare at me through the door. It would have killed them to accommodate me considering THEY changed the pick up time, but they didn’t. They wouldn’t even explain why or work a few extra minutes to get it situated. They shut off the lights and handed me a worldwide number. I ended up going next door to get a rental much cheaper and was told I was the FIFTH person to come in because of Hertz LAZINESS. Absolutely pathetic. I will NEVER rent through them again and the staff needs serious customer service skills.

I had a confirmed reservation at this location, but when I arrived, I was informed that the cars were sold out. They admitted to having cars available but explained that they couldn't rent to me because they need to maintain a certain number of cars in their fleet. I traveled a long way only to be turned away.

The IBM Road/ Poughkeepsie location SUCKS. They WILL NOT answer any incoming calls. Their phone tree is extensive and leaves almost NO OPTIONS to speak with a live representative. They will only handle your issue if YOU GO TO THE LOCATION! Understaffed and the staff on hand are next to useless. They will rent you a car (if they have one, because they're often out of cars) and they take returns but don't ask them to do anything beyond that. Go to Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Terrible experience with hertz who really let us down. We rang them from the train station but they still closed and left us high and dry without a car. This staff seem totally disinterested. We spoke to one woman and a guy called Julian who couldn’t care less.

Worst experience with any company. I asked many questions about the charges. My final bill was 2x-3x what I expected. Absolutely wrong. Do not rent from them.

Car was okay. Gave us a car with a half tank of gas and it kept flashing that an oil change.was due. I've never rented a car with anything less than a full tank before.Our car was due back on Saturday. They were going to charge an additional 2 days if we didn't make it back by noon since they close early that day. We made it back, but it left a bad taste...

Wish I could give 0 stars. Was charged $288.30 for my rental on 03/08/2024 from my Uber pro card. My rental wasn’t extended due to insufficient funds but can clearly see on my statement that it was. If it wasn’t then that $288.30 would be in my accounts but it’s not. Nobody can give me any answers. The branch I rented from is closed on the weekends so I cannot work due to the fact that they will snatch another $288.30 and will be SOL. Don’t rent any cars from hertz for Uber, you will be scammed out of your HARD EARNED money if you’re not on top of your statements. I can’t make any money because of this. It’s a SCAM!!!
