I would estimate that the store has 10,000 plus items that includes all of the essential school supplies, an array of the most needed household products, and a wide range of miscellaneous items that everyone might need at one time or another. Because the store is packed with merchandise from top to bottom, an unusual item may be overlooked at first glance. So, it's best to ask Raj, the store owner, if the item is in stock. The odds are that it will be tucked away on a shelf and he will graciously point out the location.Vassar students have come to appreciate the store's convenient location and service (including summer storage for their dorm room items). The store has consistently proven to be the go-to-place for those items that one often needs right at the moment; simply stated "When you need it now and are ready to pay." Items such as, AAA batteries, a gel ice pack, a cake decoration, a gas filled balloon, WD-40, a certain size box, and even craft paper.The best part of the shopping experience is the friendly exchange of kind words with Raj, which my wife and I have enjoyed for the past 13 years. Another five-star small business serving the Arlington community.

This is a great place for summer storage! Our Vassar student stored items for summer and they picked up items promptly and were extremely kind and courteous. The owner, Raj, provided excellent communication and was very easy to work with. They are a fabulous resource to Vassar and the community - can't recommend this business enough!

Reliable and personable! They put a lot of care into my order, wrapping it very nicely and delivering it with a sweet note attached. Given the other reviews, this seems to be common practice too. Overall, they go above and beyond and I would highly recommend their service to anyone.

I was very happy with the service I received from Rjesh at The Dollar Yard. I ordered items for my son for easter. They were all packaged together into an easter basket and even shrink wrapped and tied with a bow for no extra charge! I added a second order at the last minute (just some toiletries) and that was no problem. The second order was even packaged with a bow and a personalized easter card. I really appreciated the personal touches and care that went into the service they provided. Prices are very reasonable and they delivered to my son's campus for free. .please support this business!
