This store (South Road, Poughkeepsie) is always cluttered with stock in the aisles but the shelves are usually empty. There is not enough staff and the pharmacy is always backed up and inefficient, ie they will call Rx is ready and when you get there you have to wait for it. I would never recommend this store except it is convenient to my residence.

I've been going to CVS 2503 south rd poughkeepsie ny for my prescriptions for years. Irma is THE LEAST friendly pharmacy cashiers I've ever dealt with. NOT a pleasure.

The CVS store located at 2503 South (Rd rt 9 ) has made commendable progress in enhancing its customer service, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that greets visitors from the moment they enter. In the pharmacy world, remarkable customer service is not just a bonus—it's essential. Every interaction should reflect a strong dedication to support and assistance, a principle that is vital to their mission.
While I truly value the improvements made in customer service, I feel inspired to adjust my star rating from one to three for now. It has become evident that this location would benefit from additional staffing to better serve customers. Moreover, I've observed that the shelves are often understocked and prices tend to be a bit high. Too often, I find myself needing to visit a supermarket for my pharmacy-related needs, which diminishes the convenience that CVS aims to provide. I am optimistic that with a few key adjustments, this store can fully unlock its potential to serve the community with excellence.
PS: I've noticed that a lot of customers who walk in also need to be more respectful with staff we are all there for the same reason. This saying is true “You get more flies with honey than with vinegar”

Everytime I go into this location for the pharmacy they’re always closed HOURS before 9pm. Why post that you close at 9pm but then close as early as 6pm? I work predominantly midday so I’m only able to go in after 6pm and still can’t get important life support medication. It’s very frustrating as well as the rest of the team not being found for the few hours of the day. Really off putting and not customer service ready at all. Please post updated hours and try to staff appropriately as much as possible. Very terrible.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Good luck trying to get anyone in the pharmacy to answer the phone. 1.5 hours yesterday listening to annoying music waiting for someone to pick up. Today I’m on hold AGAIN. No one answers.

Long wait times, keep cutting hours, can NEVER get through by phone, get notifications that RXs are filled only to find out there are not when I get there, underfilling RXs, blocking refills because their system thinks the refill was already picked up, etc.

This place is a disgrace. How it has 2 stars is baffling. Incompetent, rude and complete disregard for peoples health and time. Shame on them and CVS for allowing this to happen.Good riddance.

I've been using CVS here for my whole life (prior they were in Hudson Plaza). They are now the worst place I've ever been. I stood on line for 45 minutes to find out that my prescription for pain killer (had surgery) wasn't ready after I was told on the phone it was. I was told to come back in a couple of hours. I have switched pharmacies for the first time in my life. I now travel twice the distance just to avoid this disastrous place. If they can't get enough help, then shut the entire pharmacy down until they do. Customer service is a big fat ZERO.
