This location charged me monthly membership fees well beyond the termination of my club membership there, and when I called to speak to the general manager about a refund they were always not there or "on their way in" and I was told they would call me back (which they never did). I called this location 8 times in the past two weeks trying to speak to someone with the authority to assist me on this matter. I was finally able to speak with the personal training manager named RJ, who I acknowledge shouldn't have to deal with this kind of issue. Even still, they were polite and courteous and escalated the issue to the regional manager. They were also the ONLY person to actually call me back like they said they would, so thank you RJ.It has now been a week since that conversation and I have had zero contact from anyone in their corporate office, and when I called this location back to get their contact information I was met with an employee who was very rude, interrupted me multiple times while I was explaining my situation and then hung up on me. I never swore, I never raised my tone, I was simply persistent in trying to get more information and she clearly had no interest in trying to help me out. And of course she did not provide me with her name.I understand there is a new regional manager currently on-boarding (can I speak to the person training them??), but the complete refusal to put me in contact with anyone from corporate who has any authority in rectifying this mess is abhorrent customer service. My membership contract termination is documented, every payment erroneously made against my bank account is documented, and above all this isn't some struggling mom & pop fitness club, it's a national chain corporation. There is no reason it should be taking over two weeks & counting to speak with someone who has the authority to return my money to me. Y'all should be embarrassed.

First time I came this business and I meet one guy his name brayan ,I talk to him I try one month without contract whose year but him don't care for his job, he just do whatever he do , that big company I think they know how to do business and protect to keep customers comfortable and come back, ij not I feeling good I never go back there again

The level of neglect at the Poughkeepsie Crunch Fitness is unbelievable. Not only do they not have anybody maintain the equipment, it seems like they don't even know anyone capable of repairing it. On the 2 cable towers, 3 of the 8 stations are broken. For MONTHS the showers have had the bottom tiles smashed in. I can't even imagine how moldy it must be getting. The department of health should be involved. The lack of care from the owner is very blatant.

Clean and warm. Locker room is very clean as well as the bathroom. Staff is very caring. Never overcrowded plenty of parking.

Overall, I don't have any issues with the facilities other than I wish there was more equipment at times. This is why I'm leaving it at 2 stars.However... Be warned about their membership. They'll increase them without reason or warning and it's built into the contract.I initially signed up for the base monthly plan (without yearly contract) for $14.99. In less than a year, my monthly payment was increased to $19.99 "without notice" (this is a sneaky tactic they included in the original agreement).A couple months ago, they increased it again to $21.99/month, again for the base monthly plan without the yearly contract. The $21.99/month exceeds the agreed upon price so as far as I can tell it actually breaks their contract!!!The website currently says as of November 2023, that the base monthly membership (without yearly contract) is $15.99/month. When I asked them why I was paying a higher rate, they said I was on an older plan. Not sure why me being on an older plan made it okay to increase the rate to $19.99 then to $21.99 even though they're not proving any more than their base plan.I would be willing to stay as a member if they offered to refund me the $76 of excessive charges ($62 assuming their newer advertised tate of $15.99/month). At the very least $6 reimbursement because I never agreed to the $21.99 rate and it exceeds the $19.99 maximum agreed rate that they can increase it to that I signed off on. But this predetory behavior makes me uncomfortable staying as a paying member of Crunch.

I have been a member at this gym since 2019 and have attended sporadically. Until recently when my doctor suggested I attend consistently . I started with my yoga , Zumba and the ride . I started to attend early in the morning for the ride class .Yesterday staff at this gym harassed me and mocked me from the minute I stepped foot in the gym . The woman Nicky at the front desk and one that has never said good morning and smiled at any members , said to me that I couldn’t take the ride class because I needed to upgrade. , I told her I would take care of it after the class and she started to mocked me by telling me that I couldn’t take the class. I asked for the manager and she began to grin sarcastically and told me she was not in . I must add that there were 7 empty spots as the 3x ‘s I had taken this class it has not been full . I told her I got up early for the class and proceeded to take the class . While I was taken the class I get a VM from the manager from an unknown number stating I couldn’t take the class, I need to upgrade . I couldn’t call her back since she blocked the number. However , She felt the need to harass me on thanksgiving day .Then, I was stopped by the class instructor Seth on my way out , telling me , rules have changed etc….I tried to keep on walking but he didn’t let me go on my business , mentioning different franchises etc . . I told him I would file a complaint since I had been mocked since I entered the gym . If this not harassment over a class I don’t know what is. This has been such and horrific and traumatic experience on thanksgiving day .This whole situation could have been avoided by talking humanly and respect as it should be .I must add , that crunch has been taking money out of my account since 2019 w/o me using the gym for a year at a time . And when I mentioned this to the woman Nicky she grin on my face with sarcasm .There’s no respect , ethic or professionalism . Some employees at this gym act as if they doing members a favor , I was disrespected and harassed by the employees mentioned above . The manager at this gym has no social or public relations skills along with some employees. . I felt like a criminal and this traumatic experience made my medical issues worst , defeating the purpose as to why I started to work out again .With the above statement . I will pursued further and request to cancelled my membership ASAP !

I recently moved to Poughkeepsie from West Palm and had been looking for a new gym so that I can continue my training as an athlete. I must say, I've been to a lot of gyms but this one is by far the most hospital. The staff was very nice and you can tell they really love what they do. Brian was the guy that helped me out and he definitely sold me on joining officially. He was very patient and helpful with any questions and concerns that I had. If you are looking for a gym that has a community aspect surrounding it as well as all around good people, I would consider joining this one!

This is a great gym. Staff is super nice and helpful, great equipment and great machines. Would recommend it to anyone. The gym itself is a great size as well.

Equipment keeps breaking and the idiot owners still can’t fix anythingPeople are all complaining left and right, including staff HOW MANY MONTHS UNTIL THINGS ARE FIXED ?!?!?!?!There are no longer $9.99 a month memberships, its new owners and new prices and no more frozen memberships like in the last 50 years at gyms2. Broken equipment and critical equipment for, not days, not weeks, BUT MONTHS !!!! AND MONTHS !!!!!3. Place is dirty and uncleaned4. During COVID they did not enforce mask wearing5. The bicycle class and tread mill class music and coaching is SO LOUD you can’t hear your own music even with ear buds6. From where ever they get the younger high school or jr college crowd they come in, in groups of 3-5 and tie up the limited equipment due to being broken and they talk and talk and talk check their phones and talk some more7. The TVs for the cardio bikes no linger have TV or anything Its just advertising8. The ropes, and bars are either broken or all on the other end of the gym, so if you go to get the rope for cables by the time you get back you lost your turn9. Such a shortage of equipment that some people place coats or bags or cell phone on the equipment so they hold it for there next exercise or superset and tie up 3-4 pieces of equipment for 1 person10. Several of the bars are broken and some group of people keep a bar under lock and chain and you gotta know someone to get the combination11. Their are NO PRICES marked on beverages and in the few prices i went out to compare you’ll pay 2x -3x more than what it is in amazon or at Vitamin Shoppe12. Majority of these problems didn’t exist with the prior owner, this new owner(s) are COMPLETELY out of touch13. The one saving high note is the manager SHE IS GREAT SHE CALLS PEOPLE OUT WHEN THEY NEED TO BE CALLED OUT SHE STRIVES FOR HER FRONT DESK PEOPLE TO BE FRIENDLY AND KNOW YOUR NAME

Excellent gym, everyone is so welcoming! Angelique was so helpful and a pleasure to talk with. The trainers I have met have been wonderful. It has been a great experience!

Love this Gym staff is friendly. Place is always clean also a huge shout out to the Manager Angelic always has a smile and really knows how to make someone feel at home if half the business in the area had someone like her working for them ever place would be great to go too.

Staff is nice but some of the equipment is ripped which is very nasty since you can’t disinfect the foam padding that is exposed. I wish they replaced some of the cardio machines with 1 or 2 more squat racks. There seems to be way too many treadmills for the amount they are used.

they will love you when they start scamming you but GOOD LUCK if you ever want to leave. You will see their true colors.Edit: the management doesn't acknowledge cancellation confirmation emails by email even though they say here they want to fix it. They just want to trap you! They don't care about me since they lost me as customer for life. I put a stop payment with my bank because these scammers are known to keep charging even after formal cancellation documents are issued.
