Went to get a few basic things done, oil change inspection and replace front headlight bulb. Lady mechanic decided to write me up a 1200 dollar estimate and insists I need new breaks immediately and used it as leverage to pressure me into getting it done for the inspection. Incredibly rude about it as well. Then proceeds to pull up Carfax which is not 100% reliable and only ever used for accidents and dealers. She finds the history of my vehicle saying there’s never been any work on the breaks and it’s time and continues to insist I need it. She tells me that they are “legally”obligated to report all repairs to Carfax through the car vin number, which is a COMPLETE LIE there is nothing under NY state law that states auto shops must report under carfax, she used that as a blatant lie just to market her scam to me.
When I asked for a print out of the estimate she refused to give it to me and said she “legally” can’t because I am going to go to her competitors and ask for a better price. I have my right to know how much money I am going to be spending, only reason she wouldn’t print out the estimate was probably because it’s a complete scam and if anyone were to see how much it would cost they’d get shut down. I’m young and she completely tried to take advantage of me and my money by giving me a load of BS. Told me she builds her relationships on trust and she tells it how it is, complete lie.
Ended up completely wasting my time and left. Went to a mechanic that’s been around much longer. He actually lifted my vehicle up and had three of his guys inspect my breaks and rotors instead of just shining a flashlight at it and pointing at things. Told me I’ll make another 5k miles before I’ll need to replace them and got my inspection sticker, oil change and light installed no problem. If you’re trying not to get ripped off DO NOT GO TO ARLINGTON AUTO

Bobby and Dani were amazing! Liz However said that my oil filter housing was stripped and she wouldn't touch it but bobby and Dani drain and put new oil in. I went directly to the dealer for them to tell me she had no clue what she was doing and it was never stripped. Liz also was very nasty the whole visit making faces and remarks because she didn't want to do her job. Thankfully the dealership even knew that arlington auto is horrible they said they hear stories all the time and they are a complete rip off and never own up to any wrong doing.

**Victim of Their Own Success**
I’ve been a loyal customer for 10-15 years, and while they used to provide great service, things have changed. With an influx of new customers, the shop has become chaotic and costly. You’re now paying dealership prices but receiving subpar expertise. For example, their brake service is only slightly cheaper than the dealership, but they use lower-quality parts, and oil changes aren’t much different. To make matters worse, they often tack on a $75 per day storage fee once the work is completed.
I feel like a brand-new customer each time I bring my car in. Their labor costs are sky-high, and on one occasion, they performed unnecessary work because they misdiagnosed the problem. The original issue returned, and when I brought it back under warranty, I ended up paying thousands more for the correct repair. They made minimal concessions and even tried to charge me storage fees again.
My advice: avoid this place. While they do have some redeeming qualities, they’ve taken on too many customers and can no longer provide the level of service they once did.

Have been here a few times for various services - oil changes, inspections, etc. Staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and generally good at their job!
Brought my two young kids for this last visit and was given a toy car for each :)

Great service, they were fast and efficient. Moose was very friendly and made my first time experience great. If you ever have a punctured tire, I would very highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed !!!!

My experience at Arlington Auto & Tire was so wonderful, I truly feel I must share it. I walked in without an appointment in hopes of getting my car inspected. To my delight, Anthony Swinton, assistant manager, was able to take me right in! Technician Jadyss was so polite and pleasant, as well as Anthony. It's refreshing to have such outstanding customer service. If I could give them a higher than ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating, I would in a heartbeat. Go see the guys at Arlington Auto and Tire for all of your tire and repair needs. Tell 'em Trina sent you ?.

If I could give 10 stars off this review, I would. My wife’s Jeep went DOA the other day. Had it picked up by the insurance tow company and dropped off at Arlington Auto. I didn’t get a chance to call them or give them any kind of heads up that the vehicle was coming. Once the jeep was dropped off I spoke to a nice young man named Alex. He assured me don’t worry, we will take care of it. I had parts on order for the vehicle. The vehicle was safely secured within the compounds of their shop. I dropped the parts off 1 day later. The company I ordered the parts from sent 1 wrong part of the 3. I expressed the urgency of my situation to him asking if he could have it back up and running in just a few hours, so wifey could go to work. They were super busy, every bay was full as well as the lot, when I got there to drop em off. He said he would do his best. I can’t express enough how he went ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR ME. He got the right part delivered within those few short hours and had it all back together earlier than I even requested. Wifey and I, as a newly wed couple, are struggling. Times are hard out here. Missing a day of work can really make or break your month, and like a wizard he made it happen for us. Alex called me and told me I was good to pick up the jeep, that was all taken care of. I was shocked bc even when I made the request, I didn’t even think it was possible, but HE MADE IT HAPPEN. I arrived to pick up the jeep and there was Alex, at the counter with a smile to tell me, I GOT YOU. I can’t remember the last time I felt this way… , appreciated and valued as a customer. The transaction was seamless and we were on our way. There is no other shop within 100 miles of here that I would ever give my business too. I hope you as a business understand the value of an employee like this. I am beyond grateful that you employ genuine, hard working, and sincere people like him. I am a forever customer. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

I was very pleased with the patience and service I received from Anthony while having my car serviced and dealing with my car protection insurance which was a hassle. He was very professional and I greatly appreciated with the service.
