Blanchard's Auctions are hands down one of the true gems of the North Country. I have found the most wonderful, unique, beautiful pieces of furniture, art and antiques. They continue to present high quality estates, I don't know how they do it. I haven't seen a single piece of junk, everything is so well chosen and high quality. I always end up bidding on something here! I dread the day I run out of space..

The owners, Kip and Sue Blanchard, are also landlords. Here's my story, so you can know exactly who you're giving money to when you support this business. My apartment that I rented from them ended up with a severe water and mold problem and is not fit to live in. I'd been renting it since Feb. 2020 on what was originally a six-month lease that renewed every 30 days after that. I was never late on rent and got along well with my neighbors. Anyway, rather than promptly fix the problem, they refused to fix it until after my lease expired, leaving me homeless. I guarantee if this problem had been in THEIR home it would already be fixed. And the reason they did this, according to Kip, is so they can rent my home on Air BnB. Don't support these greedy, self centered, just plain awful people. They see people and the inalienable right to secure housing as nothing but capital, loose change in their pockets.

Top tier operation. Kip sold painting for four times the high pre=auction estimate to an out-of-state bidder he had prior contact with. To the best of my knowledge this was by far the highest price paid for a work by the late 19th century artist.

My wife and I go to Blanchard's and really enjoy the auctions together. The auctions are the best in the area and have a down home feel to them. Family members help throughout the process and Kip respects all his workers. He is not only a great auctioneer but is very humorous throughout the process. We just love going there!

I LOVE these auctions! It could even be considered a date to some woman, who can resist antiques, hot coffee and spending money. They have seating, food and drinks and friendly staff. I've purchased several items and they have been more than helpful with everything. Looking forward to the next auction!
