I have been a client of Ebony ( who is the owner) for over 10 years. She is phenomenal! She cuts and colors my hair. I have curly hair. People compliment me all of the time that i have the most gorgeous curls!!! My cut is so perfect and there is no maintenance needed. I just get out of the shower after putting in my product, pat my hair dry with paper towels and I'm done. People ask me all of the time where I get my hair done.

I honestly don't understand all of these great reviews for Zing 4 Hair. I suppose that people like the salon because it is not as bougie or expensive as other salons and has a homey atmosphere and they seem to have the reputation of being a curly hair expert. I had a haircut and color with highlights a few months ago and was so upset afterwards and the days that followed I couldn't even bring myself to even call and ask Ebony to fix it. I was on the verge of tears, the color was unattractive and my haircut was really misshapen (even giving some leeway since my hair is curly). I feel obliged to give 2.5 stars because they are very polite and friendly especially the receptionist Melissa and they cost less than other salons. Needless to say I had to visit another salon to re-do my cut and color.

Not the best but not the worst curly hair cut I’ve had. Ebony and the staff were very friendly but I unfortunately didn’t walk out with the hair cut I wanted.I tried being clear with what I wanted and supplemented it with pictures. I got the deva cut and after it was washed and styled i noticed that it didn’t have nearly as many layers as I wanted so I asked her to touch it up and although it definitely got better, it still wasn’t exactly what I wanted. At this point I didn’t want to ask for any further work out of fear that it would get messed up.I’ve never had a curly hair cut before, so I was really looking forward to it but sadly it wasn’t exactly what I hoped for but overall, I’m happy with it.

Without hesitation, the coordinator, Sam was on board- kindly offering suggestions to help make it happen. Been searching for years to find a curly hair spot on LI after more than a decade of Devachan and finally found Zing! Great cut and highlights by Ebony, the owner. Happy with my hair shape and color. They have the kindest team, from Sam at the front to Ebony's assistant Catherine. Very Covid careful, everyone had masks on all the time and the front door was propped open for air circulation. I'll definitely be back!

I visited the salon for a curly cut yesterday with the owner Ebony. Salon was immaculate and everyone was practicing COVID safety measures. I was looking for a new salon that specializes in curly cuts and heard great things about Ebony in a local mom's group. (She is trained in both the DevaCut (dry) and the Ouidad (wet) methods.) I am really thrilled with the cut. Ebony listened to me and did not take off too much as I am trying to grow out the length of my hair. Lots of curly hair products to purchase too! Price was very reasonable, location is convenient, plenty of parking on the street. Highly recommend.

I was trying to look for a curly cut spot closer to home since the one I had been going to was way too far out on the island. A friend of mine recommended this place to me so I decided to check it out. Ebony cut my hair and did a great job. I came in with dry, frizzy hair with broken ends and left with shorter, beautiful and nourished curls.

Come on in to Zing 4 Hair! You will be in great hands of Ebony, the new owner. She is very personable, sweet and very good with her goods. At great prices she gives great haircuts, blowouts, color, cuts for kids, and so much more. Great Salon. Would definitely recommend 11/10.
