I usually have a great experience but this last time I was appalled by Dr. Carr’s lack of professionalism and respect for other people’s time.She walked into the building at the same time my appt was to start, then kept me waiting for 20 minutes while she had her breakfast before seeing me. I had scheduled this appt to include dilating my eyes but since we started 20 minutes late, there was no time to do so. Dr. Carr was completely unprofessional and unapologetic.

My husband and I have been going to this place for years. Since the change of ownership it has not been the same. First, I was not notified that the previous optometrists were retiring even when I made the appointment.I find the staff to be rude and very condescending!I went in for a routine checkup upon check out, my copay was unbelievable. I did not ask for a contact lens fitting. I don’t even wear contacts daily.Sad to say that I won’t be coming back after 20 years going to North Shore vision.

I can't say enough good things about Optyx In Port Washington. Dr. Carr is exceptional, very attentive and caring (especially in emergencies like my son scratching his cornea!). The office staff are knowledgable and provides excellent customer service. I have been a customer for ten years and appreciate a business that is run effectively and the customer is always number one.

Very professional & everyone is nice.I did my eye exam and got 2 pairs of glasses, both of which look amazing. We had lots of time & help trying on all the different frames.Took less than a week to get both pairs.Had a tiny problem with the second one and they instantly agreed to replace it!Would 100% recommend and will get all future glasses from here!

Dr. Carr gave me a thorough eye exam and found a potentially serious vascular problem. She immediately and personally contacted my PCP who arranged follow up tests and treatment. We always used North Shore Vision because the staff was pleasant and it is convenient. But they also provide excellent medical care. I think that’s worth five stars.

Before I even began purchasing my daughter’s glasses at North Shore Vision, I came in once after her glasses broke at gymnastics, and they fixed them on spot and didn’t charge. We’ve been customers ever since and always have the best experience here. We just purchased my daughter’s 3rd pair of glasses, which Gail ordered in for us to suit a very specific request. We’ve also come in many times for repairs (little kids are tough on their glasses!) and they’re always repaired on the spot. Most importantly, my daughter always leaves feeling happy!

What truly sets North Shore Vision apart is their unwavering commitment to their patients. I was very low on contact lenses which would take a few days to arrive. Understanding my urgency and the importance of having clear vision, NSV took it upon themselves to go the extra mile. They made a personal effort to contact the lens manufacturer and expedite the process, ensuring that my lenses arrived much sooner than anticipated.
