My wife and I have been using Appel Auto for many years. We count on Kevin for his honesty, reliability, friendliness and his expertise. We can drive away from his shop with confidence that our cars are in excellent working condition. We highly recommend Appel Auto in Port Jefferson.
Side note- I have never seen a more orderly or cleaner repair shop.

Cleanest repair shop I ever saw. Professional, friendly service. Clean waiting area. Glass shelves were cleaner than Tiffany's showroom!! Highly recommend them.

Brought my 65 Mustang to Kevin to replace the fuel pump and go over the car for an overall check up. The attention to detail was impressive. Everything from the loose shifter knob, to a few missing rubber grommets, to the squeaky clutch pedal was looked at and addressed. He is an excellent, trust worthy mechanic. I live an hour away and will be back.

Amazing shop, ESPECIALLY for specialty vehicles. I have never seen a cleaner or more organized auto repair shop. Kevin has done several repairs for us on 2 1960's Mustangs. If parts are unavailable, he gives potential alternate options. When a hose broke on a Saturday, Kevin facetimed us some basic instructions to at least get the car running to get into the shop on Monday. Repairs are done quickly (assuming parts are available for these classic cars) at a reasonable price for specialty work.

This is a trustworthy spot. I brought my 2008 Accord coupe to Kevin back in 2020 and he did some work on it. He advised me to sell the car before it broke down even further. I did sell the car, and bought another used Honda in January 2021. Right after that the prices skyrocketed on used cars. Kevin gave me honest advice and it helped me make the best decision I could for my car needs. What more can you ask?

It has been a really long time since I went to Appel Auto Service because I moved about 10 years but I still remember Kevin and his shop with positivity. If I ever move back to eastern Long Island, Appel Auto is where I am going!I used to bring my 10 year old blue Mitsubishi eclipse. He was always kind, fair and honest. When the time came that fixing the eclipse would cost more than the vehicle’s value, rather than taking my money, he told me to consider a new car. I did and he inspected the certified used car before I bought it (a silver toyota corolla w/ ~10K miles) and Kevin said it was a great car with no issues and no accidents. BTW, he was right because the car is still running well, even after 130,000 miles.If you live close to Port Jeff, I highly recommend Appel Auto!

This is five star because that is the level of service I have received more than once from Appel. First of al, the garage is cleaner and better organized than my house! Immaculate. Work is fast, prompt and perfect. An honest mechanic? As good as they get.
