I canceled a rented P.O. Box and returned to my original address 2 years ago, since then all of my mail has been returned to its senders, I’ve already sent in 4 address change slips and complaints yet nothing has changed.. I just want my mail already!!!

I have dealt with this post office for over 3 years, this is the worst postal service I’ve ever dealt with and the delivery drivers are terrible.
They are too lazy to get out of the truck to bring to door, they shove items in box that don’t always fit and almost impossible for me to get out. I have left a note on my door to please put on chair outside my door, no always on ground and I’ve seen them throw on ground. I just received a package yesterday that the box was messed up, wet, bottom of box had dirt from ground. I figured they left in rain, they have no consideration to ring bell so your package doesn’t get soaked. In this case my items in the box were broken and there was serum leaking out of box including onto a package they left in my box. When I took that out it was extremely sticky from the broken glass inside box. Obviously this was mishandled as I have seen them do in the past. I’ve complained in the past to supervisors and PostMaster , nothing is done. This is a Government job and the benefits and salaries are good. If they don’t like what they are doing or incapable of delivering mail in the right way including being polite, find another job. I don’t need to pay for you to mistreat my mail and packages!!!

What is wrong with all these reviews?!?!This place is quiet yet much nicer than the one in Selden! Had zero issues with this place in the past so I'll be going here from now on. Also love the parking lot too :)

What a bunch of grumps.. been that way for years and they instill it in the younglings that replace the retiring grumps. I was glad to see the last retiree leave Charlie the chucker would throw your box over his shoulder into the roller bin. Putting a smile on your face isn't part of the job description but if you hate your job that much then move on and give someone else a shot at a better paying job with BENEFITS!

Recently moved and had to go through the post office to get my new mailbox number and locks changed. My building has mailboxes with numbers 1-10. After they changed my locks, (which took over 2 weeks due to their own mistake) I finally got my new keys but the post office had no idea what number my mailbox was. I spoke to a blonde woman who I think was some kind of manager, and she asked me questions as if I was stupid. She spoke to me condescendingly, asking me why I needed a mailbox number. Asking me, "um, do you not know the number of your own apartment?" even though I had told her that the number of my house does not correspond with the number of my mailbox. What a horrible and frustrating experience. Honestly, I wouldn't be half as bothered if she had just been kind about the situation. It is so sad to ask a MANAGER something kindly and have her respond so rudely. The attendants who waited on me were very kind and helpful and if the manager treats their customers as poorly as she treated me, then I can't even imagine how she must treat her employees.

So sick of people making deliveries in the pouring rain and can't even ring the bell to notify the residents. I'm used to Ups and Fed ex doing it, but now the postal carrier just dropped a cardboard box package on my front steps in pouring rain and ran back to his truck. Package was soaked by the time I grabbed it.

The absolute worst customer service ever!!! Post master is a real piece of work!! Let me just add in how lazy the carrier at our business address is also!! Just found out our carrier Adrien's wife is the post master in another town and Adrien gets preferential treatment!!! Wow!! POS system!!!

If you're in a pinch and you absolutely need to go to a post office, then this place works just fine. Think bare minimum level of service. But if you want great customer service (meaning friendly, proactive, active listening, problem solving oriented, and knowledgeable), then this is not the post office to frequent. Try the Setauket office on Rte 25A. Much better customer service there. At least as of February 2022. Hopefully they get better in time.

Management at this zip code (11776) is chaotic and grossly incompetent. We filled out a change of address form before moving here but some of our mail that has our new address is being returned to sender. After waiting a while while they were in crisis mode over someone else’s missing mail, the manager tried her best to dismiss me and not listen to my problem. She kept telling me to go to our former post office (huh??), or ‘it takes a few weeks (it’s been months), and several other things that had nothing to do with our problem. She clearly had no interest in helping us. We have moved several times in recent years and never had a problem with mail until now. Our last PO was awesome. We are considering getting a PO Box at a different zip code because we cannot be confident in receiving mail that is sent to this one under current management.

The mail bring delivered on Bedford Abe keeps getting delivered to the wrong house. Every week mail goes to the wrong address.
