I love Rye Metro Nails. The owner is accommodating to everyone's needs. it is a warm friendly atmosphere. With Covid and several medical issues I have been away for some time. I have an appointment tomorrow and can't wait to see my friends at Rye Metro Nails again.......I'm back........

Jennifer is so amazing! I had a very disappointing experience wirh dip powder in another salon and was honestly very skeptical of doing dip powder again. This place is very clean and spacious, very relaxing. I walked in on a Friday night and they were able to see me right away. I showed Jennifer what I wanted, and she delivered way beyond my expectations. She is professional, efficient, and really listened to what I wanted. My nails turned out beautifully and I will definitely come back.

I went here recently for a regular manicure and I suppose that is what I received: a bare minimum manicure. I waited about 10 min, which was fine. The nail polish selection is a joke and was updated several years ago. However, the guy was not friendly at all, barely said 2 words to me, and reused the same dirty nail tools from an open kit. Why bother putting them back in the packaging? You're not fooling anyone. He painted most of my nails, leaving several empty spaces and streaks. The nails were filed unevenly and the top coat was so old that the brush was a crumpled mess. Unsurprisingly, the nails were messed up and chipped right away (the same day). If you're looking for a thorough job, definitely look elsewhere. For the hand massage, he barely touched my hands like he was afraid of them and then dumped a hot, stained towel on my hands. I was thoroughly disgusted and will not be returning. If you need to kill time in the area, while waiting for someone, and your choice is between this place and the coffee shop where they ignore you unless you're white, I would choose to wait in line at the Post Office.

I was in a hurry and popped in here one afternoon. The price for a pedicure is more money than any other place in town and they didn't do anything special. I thought more money more service. I even had to ask if the lady was going to give me a massage afterward. This usually comes standard. There were no massage jets in the pedicure bath. The foot and leg massage were brief. My feet hardly had a chance to soak before/during the service. The pedicure was fine. Again, nothing special for the price being more expensive.

I've been going here pretty regularly for many years and have never been disappointed! Their attention to detail is amazing and they always listen to you to make sure you leave with exactly what you want. I went today and got acrylic tips with a funky design and I showed a picture of what I was looking for and she was able to do it perfectly! 10/10 would recommend and excited for my next visit already.

JUNA IS A MIRACLE WORKER! My gel manicures have never looked so perfect! She is literally a perfectionist. If she does not like how the manicure looks mid way, she isn't afraid to strip the color and start again. The staff is also super friendly, and I'm always greeted with a smile by Cindy. The place is also immaculate. Literally the very best, thank you Cindy, Juna and everyone at Rye Metro Nails!

This is my home away from home! I love coming here as it is very peaceful and not at all a factory. The ladies all know me by name and always make time for a manicure/pedicure. I typically get the Green Tea Spa pedicure and it is great! They take their time and are all perfectionists. Gel manicures are always my go to and their color selection is amazing. I always like to match my nails and toes and they always find a matching color for me (they even give great color recommendations too). Can't wait to hopefully get back there this week as I haven't seen my favorite people since February

This has been my go-to nail salon for about 2 years. I'm getting my nails done, I mostly value speed and durability of a salon. In general, the manicurists are very quick and I don't think I've ever had to wait to get started. Compared to other places I've been, I feel the gel lasts longer (3 weeks on average for me, without any chipping). Their work is usually reliable, I don't think I have ever been dissatisfied with a manicure here. This picture is from my most recent trip (manicurist was Liz, who had always good great work for me). This isn't a luxury salon but I think they have great value, and are quite efficient.

I've been going here for years and it is my favorite nail salon hands down. The nail techs are all fantastic and the place is impeccably clean. It was easy to go when I worked in the area, but after trying other nail salons closer to my new job, I still end up going back here because they are just better than the other salons. It's a shame they don't do much fun nail art.

This place is horrible!! I went to get my acrylic set taken off and the owner took them off with a METRO CARD!! It was so painful. My real nails are completely ruined and some of them were bleeding as he went under the acrylic nail with the card and peeled them off one by one. I was in shock and didn't know what to say. He should lose his license for this!! DO NOT GO HERE

I went there last week to get a pedicure and eyebrows. They charged me $45 for a pedicure and it’s been 4 days and already doesn’t look good, also the lady that did my eyebrows was super fast and obviously the results were not good . On top of that when I walked in I asked the lady to put my flats in my purse and getting back home I realized it never happened. Had to go back to get my flats the next day . The staff is nice but it’s overpriced and the service is not good at all

I am new to the area and went here because all the good reviews, despite there being tons of nail salons in the area. I was a bit disappointed. First off: I am sick of feeling rushed when I'm trying to pick a color. This isn't the only nail salon that does it; but I have to live with this gel color for 3 weeks (due to my job), sonI want to really like it. I came in and had a friend meeting me for a pedi and she was about 5 minutes behind. I told them this thinking I could shuffle through the colors a bit longer but they pushed me over to a chair and I was half done by the time my friend arrived the 5 minutes later. The pedicure I asked for was a standard. I am unsure when a standard pedi became just a color change? I was done and scooted over to my chair for my mani in maybe 15 minutes flat. I then bid my friend farewell and I go to get my nails done. No finger soaking, hand massaging; nothing. I feel like this is supposed to be relaxing and I can't help but feel like I'm just cash being quickly pushed through the door. In the middle of getting my fingernails painted, another lady comes up behind me and starts massaging my back.. while I'm trying to keep my hands steady for the other lady painting. I get a very nice back massage which I did notice longer massages were included in higher priced packages but there where ladies laid in a chair while they received theirs and I was just sitting in my chair. I then am told I'm done, go to pay a whopping $78.00 not including tip. So the gel mani and regular polish pedi were $65.00 and they tacked on a $13.00 massage of which was not cleared or priced prior to me receiving it. I got home and noticed I had clear coat on the outside of all my nails and color gaps on the sides. My normal nail place in RI is higher end with complimentary drinks and a very nice new interior set up where I pay $60.00 for the same service and receive a complimentary back rub and full pedi with foot massage to boot. I always thought that it was higher priced than other places but now I realize how much was included in that price. Anyways, if this is the New York nail salon equivalent of a "basic economy" package and I just haven't gotten the memo being a newbie, then I guess I had higher standards going into it. Attached is a photo of my heel after my pedi which has never looked like that after a pedicure before.

My gel polish peeled off randomly after 4 days. Supposed to last at least over a week- 2 weeks. Very disappointed for $28 :(
