You can tell that this train station was renovated at some point compared to other stops on the metro North. There are new train schedule monitors and even the indoor waiting area looks new. There is a restaurant inside right next to the ticket window and the restrooms are maintained nicely. There is a large parking lot and there is also a zipcar available for reservation. To cross between sides, you have to go down underneath the track as there is no overhead bridge. Overall, great train station! Quick ride to NYC if you are ever so inclined!

Considering I have a long long family connection to this location and train station, I feel entitled to write a review. I've seen it in good times and bad. Whether it's safe these days at certain hours I'm not sure. I know I wasn't fond of traveling to Port Chester alone at times in my life. I remember the times I needed a cab. Finding a cab was hit or miss. Incoming trains are not on the side where you can easily enter the Station Building. You walk down the long flight of stairs to a back street. Frequently my family would be waiting outside the station to pick me up. Sometimes they were late! I've never seen the inside of the station dirty. I always found it deserted. I didn't travel during peak hours. On my return trips to Manhattan I go outside and wait patiently for the train. I'm always afraid I'll miss it if I wait inside. I sure don't want to be stuck there waiting for the next train! When my Cousin Jim was alive we would sit in the car and talk. When we saw the train coming I'd head upstairs to the track. He'd wait to see I boarded safely. That memory makes me sad. It was nice to be cared for by a Cousin/Brother. Since he died I don't go back to Port Chester much. When I do my daughter usually goes with me. Thanks for letting me share my memories. And thanks Bill for posting. Seeing your recent post revived my history using this old Railroad Station!

This gem was is directly across the street from the Capital Theatre . It’s tucked in the back of the parking lot. What a great place. The pizza was delicious and the chocolate cake and cannolis were also delicious. The staff were knowledgeable And friendly. A great place to hit before or after seeing a show.

Stopped in for early dinner on way into the city. Great pizza and casual atmosphere. Our second visit and I am sure more to come.
