Sadly, I no longer recommend this vet. Sold to North Regent/Dr. Gina Antiaris. You can expect lots of games that increase the vet’s revenue and have no meaningful impact on your pet’s health.

Unfortunately Dr. Levy's practice was just bought by Dr. Gina of the Regent Animal Clinic in Portchester. He is a great vet and we will miss him. The new owner decided that Chewy, the largest, best animal product company out there, does a bad job so they decided to "streamline" the situation for prescriptions. We are now required to get a physical prescription and mail it to Chewy. It takes 2 weeks to process it that way. I called to express my dissatisfaction with this change (for obvious reasons) and her answer was if I don't like it I can leave. What a terrible attitude. The office on Regent Street is also terrible. There is no parking lot and it is a horrendous setup. FOLLOW UP: Since publishing this review the doctor "fired" us for doing so calling me a "keyboard warrior" in the "medical history" notes. They also sent us the doctor's records with notes in the "medical history" full of lies about me yelling at them to potentially scare away other vets from taking care of my beautiful dogs. Shame on them!

As stated, Dr. Levy was bought out by a money hungry individual. The entire nature of the business has changed. Prices for allergy medicine went up significantly. But first you must pass their test and answer all of their questions correctly, and then deal with them telling you you're wrong about the needs of your own pet they may bless you with a bottle of pills. I am still bowing down in thanks to them for their blessing of my dog's medicine. I understand it is a business, but the rigidity is now so uncomfortable and off-putting that I am going elsewhere where I'm not treated like a number.

UNFORTUNATELY, DR LEVY'S PORT CHESTER ANIMAL HOSPITAL WAS JUST BOUGHT OUT BY DR GINA OF THE REGENT ANIMAL CLINIC OF PORT CHESTER WHO IS A MONEY HUNGRY VET WHO PUSHES VACCINATIONS BEYOND WHAT IS NATIONALLY RECOMMENDED AND now works with her, So Bye Bye (Former review of Dr. Levy) Dr Levy is a dream Vet come true! I was so tired of the whole Vet scam going on and somehow I discovered Dr Levy who spoke the same language that I did. I was apposed to Vets pushing all of the completely unnecessary vaccinations. When I first went to see Dr. Levy I told him exactly how I felt about the new Vet medicine and all of the vaccines that the "NEW" vets pushed on us. He agreed with me and told me that there was only 1 case of 'distemper' in 1949 and the Vet industry has pushed the vaccination for preventing distemper for too many years. I loved Dr. Levy and I know that he was getting older so I was unsurprised when he recently sold his practice to North Regency Animal Hospital. When I called his office to speak with him the North Regency Animal Hospital would NOT let me speak with him and I know that my message was never delivered to him because I know he would have returned my call. DR GINA is a total money hungry business person and I would NEVER recommend that ANYONE bring their animal to this money hungry operation.

Dr. Levy is great and I enjoy taking my cat there. His office always has time to see her. When there is an emergency I am able to have my cat seen right away. He understands animals very well and was able to diagnosis. Dr. Levy is also a very affable person who is easy to talk to. His vast knowledge and experience is apparent when I discuss issues about my cat with him. I think his staff is top-notch also. They have made my cat feel as comfortable as possible. This office accepts cash or checks. I don't know why another review said cash only. Dr. Levy's office has accepted checks from me throughout the almost 7 years we have brought our pet here. My cat has seen many vets throughout the years but this is the place where I chose to take her.

I spoke with the vet for the first time about getting my kittens first shots done. He greeted me by asking me what i wanted and began to list the prices… THANKS I’ll go somewhere else.

My father has been taking our family dog to Dr. Levy for the past few years, so when I got my own I knew where to take him. All of the staff are incredibly nice and honest. I know our dogs are in the best care with Dr. Levy.

I am absolutely angry and concerned with the poor treatment my dog received under the so-called care of Dr. Levy. After leaving my pup for a simple spaying procedure at 9:30 am, I was left in the dark for three hours without a single update. Upon calling to check on my dog’s progress, I was informed that not only had she been left waiting for all that time, but they hadn't even started the 30-minute procedure. Unbelievable.Despite their assurances that they would take her in immediately, I get a call after 40 minutes from Dr. Levy admitting that he had put my dog under anesthesia before realizing that he didn't have the adequate tools to carry out the surgery. How can a supposedly professional veterinary clinic be so inept and careless?Not only did this turn out to be an unnecessarily traumatic experience for my dog, but when I went in to try and get some answers as to what was happening, Dr. Levy treated me with nothing but apathy and discourtesy. Refusing to let me see my dog, and brushing off my concerns with nary a care in the world.Fast forward to the end of the day when I came to pick up my dog - did they bother to let me know that she'd woken up from the anesthesia at any point? Of course not.Even worse, when I asked for a copy of her medical file, Dr. Levy was outright obstinate and unhelpful, insisting that I come back another day for what was three pages of information.Absolutely unacceptable. I am beyond worried about the quality of care provided by this supposed "professional" and would not dream of recommending Dr. Levy to anyone looking for competent, reliable care for their beloved pets.

Reception was courteous but Dr. Levy was incredibly rude over the phone and uninterested in helping a very kind and needy stray cat, doesn’t seem like a viable choice for immediate animal recuse. Clearly the other bad reviews are accurate. Avoid this place like the plague.
