“It’s such a delight to have a friendly and helpful old-time downtown hardware store here in Ramsey. If you haven’t yet visited, may I strongly encourage you to do so. Mark, Pete and the crew are so approachable, down to earth and knowledgeable. There are no “**** questions”, it’s a “safe space” in that they are patient and have a kind twinkle in their eyes to help advise or find that tool or product that you forgot the name of, and can only describe. Recently, I’ve brought some old table lamps in for rewiring to modern safety standards (!), and the work was wonderful. Did I mention they also fix stuff ? After your first visit, you’ll be family, and finding reasons to stop by. I love picking up that item on my shopping list, and then wandering the aisles for my entertainment, always finding additional things that “I didn’t realize I needed” !”

“Herb Lack Paints is a Nyack family owned business. Joseph along with his wife and son are a fixture in the Village Nyack business district.. Don't be fooled by the Paints they have have a lot more than paints. They have a great supply of Benjamin Moore paint, and do custom blending as well. They also repair screens there, and any copy of a key they have made for us always works. Their inventory includes everything from Gorilla glue to snow shovels. The family is incredibly helpful. Highly recommend a visit.”
“I love this branch of Sherwin. Everyone I’ve dealt with who works here is not only super knowledgeable, but seems genuinely invested in talking through project logistics and thoughtfully advising on challenges. I showed up at 5:52 tonight (they close at 6) with a custom color as I realized what I had left wasn’t going to cover the whole room. Even though it was time for the associate to close up and go home, he didn’t seem rushed or annoyed, and even proactively asked me about the experience I was having with the paint I’m working with, dispelling why I was actually having coverage issues. I want to say his name was John but not sure… anyway, so helpful and very appreciative!”

“I can understand PC's untainted reputation of 5 stars by the local neighborhood.Glen, one of the managers, and David, are some of the most helpful people around. I bought paint from this store twice and our bathroom upgrade turned out fabulous.Why go to Home Depot when you have Paint Can right here, with everything you need? You will not get the same attentiveness and care there that you will here. Also, the prices are no cheaper at any other hardware retailer. I would rather give it to the good people of this store who work hard to retain their small business. 10/10!!!”
