While I've never been there, I've only interacted with the store via their website and email, I have to say it is one of the best bookstores I've encountered. They are so friendly and helpful and were able to ship my daughter a book signed and personalized by the author. Thanks for a great experience.

Village Bookstore is a quaint and lovely spot. It has a variety of genres. They put time into their handwritten recommendations. Browsing in bookstores with my father was a favorite pastime we shared. You never know who you will meet. Only wish my father Bill could have been with me to met President Bill here on this special day.

What a delightful visit to the Village Bookstore. The staff and owner were helpful as I tried to pick out a new book. It was refreshing to see a parade of young people come through selecting books and other things. I was pleased to see a group of high school students selecting books for a book drive they had held. They were donating the YA books to a local organization and had received a $100 gift card from an anonymous donner. It is wonderful to see books are still relevant. Thank you!

This book store is a rare gift of collectible books (if one still collects books instead of just reads them and gifts them to their friends and families like I do for the most part) The Village Bookstore is a quant shop of delight. As opposed to bigger more prominent named bookstores this one has rarer more elusive titles. Some authors I’ve come across that I feel worth mentioning as I’m 100 books from reading 1,000 total books in my lifetime are: Simone De Beauvoir, Thomas Pynchon, Patti Smith (Punk singer), Mieko Kawakami, Sojourner Truth etc, as mentioned earlier you’ll not find such an array of manifold authors in more prominent bookshelves- Their Penguin Books Great Ideas shelf is a great value for one’s dollar and the tomes are a quick or acute read however one wishes to process the work. Great bookstore.
