Alert: Rip-off at PETCO in Plainview shopping center-- and apparently new policies nationwide! Took my large dog for a groom (bath and cut) $97. Expensive but it's part of ownership responsibility. They upgraded me to a plus package for $24 which included" special shampoo and nail buff", without my knowledge or consent. I was charged this $24 even though they admitted they didn't do nail buff part because of "lack of cooperation on my dogs part." Also Charged a 5.99 materials fee, apparently everyone is Charged this fee now to Cover the cost of "materials. When I questioned the Sunday afternoon manager about what materials, she mumbled "shampoo and other stuff." She pointed out that I agreed to all of these charges when I signed him in. The charges were listed in the backside of the sheet which I never turned over. Stupid me. Petco has lost my business forever. I hate being taken advantage of. Total cost ended up $136. Done with Petco.

There's never anyone available to help you or answer any questions, the prices are high and the place is dingy considering it's fairly newly opened. I was so excited to get a Petco by me and now I could not possibly care less.

Under one star, we went for grooming. My dog was turned away bc she didn't have a clearance letter from our vet. Was also told my dog is aggressive and our appointment was cancelled. Outrageous, I have never been treated this was in my life. I have owned a dog my entire life and have never run into this problem. Save yourself the trip and go elsewhere!!!

Do not come here for nail clippings. They made my dog bleed!!! Scared to return. Didn't even apologize. I had to pay for them to injure my dog :(

Petco shop.in plainview is large store with full selections of pet products. To compare to.other pets stores , they are pricey. But good for a quick pick up.Thry operate in over 1000 Petco locations across the U.S., "Mexico and Puerto Rico, including a growing network of more than 100 in-store veterinary hospitals, and offer a complete online resource for pet health and wellness"

This store just opened 2 months ago and is a disgrace to the Petco brand. The staff or lack of staff that is there is non existent and not customer friendly. The store is extremely disorganized and filthy. I felt extremely uncomfortable allowing my pup to walk the floor of the store. Needless to say,I would never trust her to any of your services such as grooming or vet care. Your upper management needs to revisit this location and revamp the business plan before local health entities are called in to shut you down.

Can't believe what just happened to me at the store. The guy wouldnt sell me a 29 cent goldfish because he thinks my fish tank at home is too small. I said it's ok I understand just give me the fish and he said sorry I can't do that. I can see from the reviews here on how everyone else experienced the same rude behavior.

I have gone twice both times the staff was extremely rude. They do not care about customer service. They all have very nasty attitudes and know nothing about animal care and if you ask questions or have concerns they snap at you. Very unhelpful would not go or ask for advice on your pets Especially if you are a new pet owner.

Went there today for the 2nd time. People that work there are extremely rude and they didn’t have much in stock. I mean you work at a pet store you would think their attitude would be a little better.

I've been buying my dogs, food and treats at Petco in Syosset on Jericho turnpike for many years, they recently moved to syosset I Oyster Bay Road, and all of a sudden they become a brand specific store, stating some of the products that they had at the other store are not healthy according to their standards I purchase royal canin which is always been a very good brand of dog food yet they keep it in a cubbyhole in the back of the store where has all the other products are overloaded with sku's Seems like they're catering to a different clientele. Oh well, Petsmart here I go. also, and more important.the the staff of one that was on the floor, could use a little help with professional courtesy

The store was well stocked but very disorganized. I was shocked and disappointed to witness one of the cashiers yell at a customer and tell him "don't come back here anymore" and she abruptly left her station and left a line full of customers. We all waited about 5 minutes when another employee realized there weren't any cashiers and rushed to help out.

I truly like the staff and the store looks great, but the cricket supply diminishes quickly. I mean they get a delivery (maybe) on Friday and by Sunday, you can’t get any. Pet Smart has a guarantee on their cricket supply. You can always count on them - not this Petco location. It is terrible. They need to figure out their supply strategy BIG TIME!!!

This petco has great workers and groomers. I wish they had more options in their toy section for my puppy and that the vet was open.The manager was super helpful finding my dogs food and check out was quick.I have not used their grooming service yet but they had no issues answering my questions and he even showed me the right brushes to buy for my golden doodle.I am looking forward to using this petco for all my pups needs.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PETCO! they are so unprofessional. I got my dog groomed here and i asked her to be cut a specific way and when i got her she was nothing that i asked. The staff there always seem overwhelmed and they never answer the phone. Its just ghetto af. I called in the next day asking to speak to a manager. I explain to her my dog looks nothing like what i asked she then says to me we can give you a refund bc last time you complained blah blah blah. I was like what does that have to do with this conversation?!? I complained last YEAR because they weren't transparent about the pricing! I still paid for the service bc they did the fucking job! She then says not to curse at her and starts yelling like A complete psycho me me and her are going back-and-forth. It's a screaming match I called back again. She keeps hanging up on me. This place is very unprofessional. Please just support your local groomers. This place is all over the place.

We’ve brought Frida Panda to help us pick her toys twice, and it’s been a great experience for all involved! (She even got a treat from the staff when we checked out. Thank you!) She loves all her new toys but is obsessed with her new hedgehog (shown in the pictures)
