Lidl is a well-known grocery store that has been offering high-quality groceries at low prices since 1973. With around 11,200 stores across 32 countries, Lidl opened its first U.S. locations in 2017. The store provides a wide range of products, including local produce, fresh meats and seafood, imported cheeses, and European pastries, all at affordable prices. The store in Plainview is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, featuring a European feel with unique items not found in other supermarkets. Shoppers appreciate the low prices, weekly specials, and quick self-checkout. The selection includes fresh bakery goods, plants, and household essentials, making it a popular choice for those looking to save money. While some mention that the store is smaller with a limited selection compared to larger chains, others note that it offers plenty of food without the overwhelming number of products. The store is generally kept tidy, although a few reviews mention occasional unkept areas. Overall, Lidl is viewed as a good, affordable alternative for grocery shopping, especially for those who prefer a straightforward, budget-friendly experience.
You benefit from the low prices but I don't like that there aren't enough cashiers a lot of self checkout and it's always a problem with the bags. I was there a couple of times and there were a lot of noisy kids with parents that weren't quieting them down might be the clientele here
