If I could give zero stars I would. I have had issues with my mail carrier for years-been through 2 mailboxes and I refuse to buy another. The carrier is so lazy that if they can’t reach the box they just leave it open which has caused damage due to weather and loss of mail. I did call the Postmaster and put in a complaint but nothing has changed. Just recently I had a package coming that was one digit different than my address and they returned to sender. You have seen my name and address for years and knew exactly where it was to be delivered, give me a break. What I think is the carrier didn’t want to get out of his truck to walk to the house. They need to get rid of whomever is on my route. They’re are horrible at their job. This review is for the carrier on Monroe Avenue in Pittsford, NY. Specifically close to French Road.

Got my mail last night. Thankfully, it looks like the person dunked it in the mud before putting it in my my box.

I love USPS, I always use USPS, and the reason is I grew up using the one on Ayrault. I started working on Monroe Ave, so I drive by this one and stop in occasionally. If it's after-hours, it's no problem! But several times I've needed to talk to someone, they're abrasive, at times insulting, and ultimately unhelpful. I made an art project with some kids to send through the mail, and a man there kept calling me "sweetie" and "sweetheart." I mentioned I work with kids in the city and he joked that there could be anthrax on their work. I hoped he was having an off day, but every time I go in, he's yelling at his female coworkers, bossing them around and interrupting them when they're with patrons. I handed him some bubble mailers full of zines, and he okeyd them all only to have 2 come back with "insufficient postage."This latest problem is that a posty ran over our mailbox. That's fine, accidents happen. But the issue was it was deny deny deny when we brought it to their attention. The Post Master blamed the supervisor, the supervisor blamed the posty, the posty blamed the wind and the neighbors, and eventually the PM blamed us for replacing it before they could (even though they never said they would replace it), said stuff like "well, we're the most trusted government entity, so. ?" Then he blamed other patrons in the past for lying (implying that we were also lying even though we had video evidence that we acquired after the first "maybe it was the wind" convo.) Just an awful experience from a government org in charge of our mail. We're privileged enough that we can afford $60 to replace the box and post and the skills to dig and cement the new one, but it's really disappointing that this office is so dysfunctional to allow this behavior (also we tried calling them several times at the beginning, and they never picked up, and there's no option for voice mail.)I'll keep using USPS, but only after hours and certainly not this one if I have any questions.

For the first time ever I took a package were an item which was delivered damaged to file a claim at the Pittsford Palmyra Rd post office. That was my first mistake. I should've known that they don't want to handle such things in person. After a manager was called to come out and "speak with me" ( felt more like to talk at me), he immediately started spinning the box around and said the box wasn't marked fragile and the item could've been packed broken and then sent to me and that neither of us would have any idea whether that was the case or not. I remained calm and told him you realize I'm the receiver, not the sender (it felt like he was blaming me). It was not an expensive item, but it was a hard to replace item that was sent priority so it was insured up to $50. I told him that was all I was looking for and that was when he told me I would have to do it online.it was clear that he was not interested in doing anything to help with the situation. It wasn't so much What he said, but in the manner that he said it and how I felt treated as the customer.

Parking is big so good for that. Service time is OK. I am used to lines that go on and on when coming to USPS. OK one.

I come to this post office regularly to mail packages or pick up packages that requires signature.I’ve always had a great experience and I’ve always been treated cordially and professionally.I come here to renew passports for myself and my family and they have been very helpful with that too.Passport day is crazy... get ready for a long line, but the staff at the post office always take it with a great smile, fee cookies and coffe.

Always great service. And, everyone is pleasant and decent to each other and to customers! I’ve heard of complaints about them chatting & not noticing clients (or worse ignoring them) and of late note wearing masks but I’ve never once experienced such things at this branch!

I’m not going to this location anymore. The short fat older guy with grey hair was coughing and making comments about being hard during my transaction. Unbelievable. Never going back.

I had some tropical fish shipped overnight express priority from Wisconsin to Pittsford. When they left the P.O. in Wisconsin they disappeared and weren’t delivered the next day. They finally showed up that night at 11:30 pm in the Rochester sorting facility. At 9:30 the following morning, I received a call from Mary at the Pittsford P.O. that my fish were there. I couldn’t pick them up because I had just had shoulder surgery and couldn’t climb into my Wrangler with just one arm. My regular postman was already on the road. She said she would have someone bring them out. Ray personally drove them to me in his own car and delivered my fish safe and sound. While the water was cold, that wasn’t Pittsford’s fault, and all the fish were alive. The next morning they were still alive, surviving the stressful trip and the cold water. I can’t say enough about the Pittsford P.O. staff and how kind, caring and helpful they were in getting my fish to me as soon as possible. What a great bunch of people!
