We were on our way to Despatch Train store and saw the canal tour. It was so easy to buy the tickets online. The staff were so friendly. The tour was everything we thought it would be.Will did it again when in Rochester.

The trip was enjoyable, with a nice level cruise. The narration and calm of the trip was interrupted by Undisciplined children of one ‘extended family,’ with the mother of some nursing a child right in front of my face. Civility is a disappearing trait.

Rode the Riverie from Corn Hill up to the Erie Canal and back. It was a science cruise and my elementary school-aged children got to learn about the biology and chemistry of the Genesee River. The teacher was great and the crew was friendly.

We had a wonderful trip down the river on the Riverie. The boat was quite nice and the crew was very friendly and helpful. A great summer activity!

It was so much fun to play “tourist” in our own town on Friday night. We took an evening cruise on Riverie, the new boat in the @cornhillnavigation fleet. Captain Larry and crew took good care of us and narrated the sights as we cruised the Genesee River and the Erie Canal for 90 minutes on a perfect summer evening. We ended the evening with margaritas and Mexican dining at @la_casa_roc in the South Wedge.I highly recommend it.#roc#eatlocal #summervibes

We had an absolutely enchanting tour of the Erie Canal this morning. Our captain and crew were accommodating, personable and extremely knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the Erie Canal's history, how the lock system works and even about Sam Patch. It was a perfect way to spend a Sunday morning. The first mate went out of her way to ensure the boat ride was perfect. It was a wonderful experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to everyone!

This is a small boat tour. I wish there had been better writing on the website about food and beverages not being allowed on the boat. They were also out of a lot of items (end of the season, so difficult to restock), but it would have been nice to just reprint the paper. Otherwise the trip up the lock and back down the Erie Canal was great. They had fun history to share and song at the end!

If you'd like a short cruise on the Erie Canal (about an hour), this is a good company to take. Everything from buying the tickets to sailing on the ship was done professionally and courteously. They have a wet bar on the boat if you'd like to relax. The photo opportunities were plentiful. Around the Dock are lots of places to eat and relax while you wait for your tour.

The tour was very nice. The lady on the boat shared interesting facts and stories about the canal. The boat was clean and tidy! The captain explained how the locks work and how many locks were in the canal etc., A very good experience!!

We had a really lovely time on the Sam Patch Tour Boat! The crew was really nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. The boat was small but spacious (I’d recommend sitting up near the bow so you can easily see some of the fun) and the snacks and drink options were good (loved the local beer selections). By far, the best part was going through the Lock! This is something that I never though I’d do, or want to do, but so awesome to be a part of! For the money this tour is totally worth it!I also recommend saving room for gelato after the tour at the spot right where you dock ?
