“Everything was clean and tidy. The room decor is a bit dated but everything is well taken care of by the housekeeping staff. Upon arrival I stood behind another guest who was complaining about her room location. The lady working the front desk handled the situation with a very professional demeanor. We only needed to stay for one night but I would definitely stay here again.”

“The general manager offered exceptional customer service. First, when my first room had a temperamental heating unit, she immediately moved me. Then, when I needed to extend, she offered me a good rate. Finally, on Monday morning she unburied my car which had been covered by the snow storm.

I cannot imagine that going that far to assist customer is part of the job description--that is an EXCEPTIONAL level of customer service.”

“Lovely service and experience at the Woodcliff. May have had some bumpy times during Covid but they have come roaring back. The restaurant is amazing - be sure to try one of the pastry chef's specialties and the sea bass was to die for! They are renovating the lodging and have already renovated the spa. A beautiful sunset dinner and view is worth every penny.”

“It was very nice, I stayed a night with my aunt and uncle because my uncle had an appointment noon the next day and it was so nice. It's right across from the airport and to me the view was beautiful especially at night with the lights.”

“I can only tell you that I loved this hotel. It is a hotel with few rooms and there are only 4 floors, but very cozy. I think of the few places I can say that everything was good. The attention, cleanliness, service and breakfast were very varied even though my check out was on Monday. As an informative note, I did not know that breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays was 7:00am/10:00am and that on weekdays it was 7/9:30am. And the reason was because the day before I had not gone down to breakfast and when we went down almost at 9:30 that's when I found out that information. But anyway we had a few minutes and it gave us time to enjoy breakfast. The employees are super attentive, especially a young woman named Rosa who, even though she was not the cleaning lady, asked for towels and toilet paper and I gladly took them to the room. So if you are ever in the State of Rochester, don't think twice and go to Holiday Inn Express.?Rooms: Very comfortable and spacious.”

“Very convenient location. The staff is exceptionally nice and welcoming upon arrival. Coffee around the clock is always hot. Very home-like feeling and quit! All around this is 100% the best bang for your buck if you're visiting the Rochester area. It's affordable and spicy and clean. Amy the GM is always at work with her warming smile devotion to the Marriott she is always willing to jump out of her comfort zone to make sure her guests are very well taken care of and happy! It really was a great Experience and this is my 100% go to for my family and friends.”

“Had a malfunctioning air conditioner that made the room very hot when we were out at dinner, but when asked they were very prompt and professional with fixing it and getting the room to a desirable temperature”

“This is a beautiful hotel lobby and atrium. Twice we have stayed, each time for a week.to visit family and friends. My wife was using a cane each time and requested handicap accessible rooms. Those rooms are the most remote in the hotel. In 2023, we were told that was a "very popular complaint", but not to worry because remodeling would begin in January of 2024. Nothing has changed that status. A front desk person, Chandler, offered her the use of a wheelchair, which limited her walking to the room. It meant I had to make multiple trips to get her to the room; then our luggage. We may have to consider alternate hotels in 2025.

Rooms: Well appointed and clean.

Safety: Not an issue.

Walkability: If mobility is an issue for anyone in your party, there are up and down ramps plus some distance from elevator(s) to assigned room.

Food and drinks: Breakfast offered a buffet and menu options.

“Spent two different nights recently because I was dropping off then picking up from the airport (I live near Buffalo) and was very happy with the rooms. They were clean and comfortable. The shower in our two queen room was amazing. Breakfast was good. Hotel is close to so many things. I will definitely stay again.”

“The hotel is well located in the center of downtown. While the city has a limited amount of things worth walking to, the things that are were close to the hotel and made it easy to get to. The hotel itself was clearly renovated recently and the renovation did a good job with the rooms clean and in good condition. Only real critique is that there were no towel racks which seems like a weird design omission during a remodel. The hotel restaurant had good food and the employees were extremely nice. It's honestly a recommendation if you're looking for somewhere to eat going there is not a bad choice at all. “Our stay at Hilton Garden Inn Rochester Downtown Minnesota Mayo Clinic was absolutely wonderful from the moment we arrived until the day we left. The level of customer service was outstanding, making our visit incredibly pleasant and stress-free—something especially important when you're visiting the Mayo Clinic, which is conveniently located just two blocks away.

The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. From providing transportation to and from the clinic to the warm and attentive team members, every detail of our stay was handled with care and professionalism. “Look, it's not the Hilton, it's older and could probably use a some polish. The restaurant on site is a line dancing bar, so there's some ambient music until close (currently midnight). But the (non-smoking) room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you'd expect. The staff was friendly and responsive. I have had much worse experiences for much more money. If you are looking for a place to just stay the night, it's totally fine. Don't let the bad reviews sway you, I can get where they're coming from if you want something sleek and modern, but this hotel is totally functional.”
