The Picture House Regional Film Center is a wonderful historic theater based in Pelham, New York.In November of 2023, I brought and treated my wife and myself to the theater to attend and watch “The Marvels” and we very much enjoyed our moviegoing experience. The theater’s staff were very friendly and kindly welcomed us in when we arrived. We found the auditorium to be clean, quite spacious and our seats were very comfortable.Other nice features of the the Picture House is that it is based in a very beautiful and quiet neighborhood, street side parking is ready available, and snacks and beverages are offered at very reasonable prices. When reading about the history of the Picture House, both my wife and I learned that the building was built in 1921 with Spanish revival architectural features, and initially operated as a private theater. Thanks to the amazing efforts of the civic minded Westchester residents, the theater was saved from potential demolition and it has functioned as a nonprofit film center since the early 2000’s, featuring films and educational programs. Additional efforts are being made to invest and revitalize the theater. Both my wife and I regard the Picture House to be an amazing gem & treasure of Westchester County and we highly recommended for everyone to visit and watch films at this superb theater!!!

Love the place. It is small and intimate, making it, perfect for little kids. Their meal selection is limited; just keep that in mind. We attended a birthday party and then another time while a birthday was taking place. It was a bit loud - we heard them while watching the movie. Not ideal, but can't complain, it's affordable.

It's a quaint old theater. There are no fancy seats or gimmicks. It is rather nostalgic.

Close by convenience for the kids in the neighborhood. They all love to go there and watch movies. Plus it’s a very quiet location. I have gone in the past numerous times. As parents you would want your children or other children to be safe.

The place needs a big face-lift. The screening room was a joke. The seats all 14 recline ...if they work(Which my wife's didn't ) . Mine opened but not all the way because it hit the seat in front of me. The theater could be a nice place, if the owner put some money into it.

THE best single-screen theatre anywhere! Updated the essentials but kept the theatre true to its original roots. The programs, screenings and special events are perfectly curated to offer something for everyone. It’s a local gem that should be treasured!

They play smaller movies which are a good change of pace from the usual comic book films. Very friendly staff and the popcorn is great.

The small theater is awful. We went several weeks ago to see Oscar shorts. The sound system is a home-grade out-of-the-box set up with one of the front speakers missing, sort of a detriment to surround sound! The theater was cold and they sold more tickets then were seats available. People actually had to grab some folding chairs, not a way to run a movie theater. If you're going to make sure it's not the small theater.

An old-school picture house set in the quaint Village of Pelham's Wolfs Lane. Both the interior and exterior decors offer a very nostalgic feeling of the fifties. The architectural design of the apartment building (pictured above) located along Wolfs Lane is remiscient of the ones found in Hamburg ,and other Bavarian cities in Germany.

Both Pelham and Bronxville Picture Houses require you to disclose your health records in order to see a film. This is completely unconstitutional. There are many other movie houses in Westchester that do not discriminate. Protect your freedoms. Choose where to spend your money.

Quaint little establishment with good vibes. 300 person and 14 person theater but the 14 person theater is actually really intimate and nice.

Great small community movie theater. Saw The Tragedy of Macbeth, locally, in the theater's comfortable over stuffed chairs in their screening room. Thankfully, showing in one of the few locations outside of Manhattan.

The staff was super nice. I believe they were students. The theater is one screen and comfy seats. It was a real holiday treat to see "It's a wonderful life" on the big screen. Someone sponsored the showing so it was free admission. Happy holidays to everyone ?

Nice neighborhood theater. The volume was very loud and my son was having a difficult time and the young gentleman turned down the volume to an appropriate audio without any issues. I will certainly return again.
