Cute shop with a good selection. I've been in probably ten times and nobody has ever asked me if I need help, recommended a wine, commented about the wines I chose at checkout...It would be nice if staff at a little local shop like this would be more engaging and give that personal touch you don't get at Total Wine or BevMo. Maybe next time!

Super nice wine store with an even nicer staff! The selection is really top notch.Thank you for chilling our wine in advance. You were so kind to give us some takeaway glasses and a wine opener. Will definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone!

Dylan's has become a staple in Peekskill, especially at the Riverfront! Steven and his crew run a friendly, clean and very reasonably priced wine & liquor store. I special ordered 4 cases of Lamarca champagne for an event and Steven came through in a very timely manner! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks again!

I so wanted to like Dylan's and went there before Xmas to gift shop but was extremely disappointed. As a non-alcohol drinker, I look for guidance when buying wine gifts. The owner Steve's help was terrible. I told him I was looking for a good white wine to relax with after work and the least expensive as I wanted to buy 1 bottle of white and 1 dessert wine. He directed me to a couple of 2019 bottles for $19.99/each. I found out when I got home, there was another less expensive 2020 white wine in the 90+ rated section for $13.99 (since sold out over the holidays as it's no longer listed) which he never mentioned, and white wines from 2019 are close to past peak. I wonder if he knowingly trying to steer me away from 2020/2021 bottles and/or cheaper wines since I told him I was not knowledgeable in wine. Also, he was not descriptive with the wines he recommended; only said, I have this and that, and "it's very subjective." True but I expected more help than what he provided esp. since there were no other customers in the store that morning so being busy was not an excuse. It was only after I asked him the difference between two wines did he say one was more fruity while the other was dry. I compare my experience with Dylan's to Dandelion Wines in Greenpoint, Brooklyn which I love and recommend wholeheartedly. My original experience was with their very helpful manager, Megan O'Neill whom I later found out was studying to become a sommelier. She has since left to start Upstream Wine in Livingston Manor, NY up in the Catskills. Go see her. This is what I mean about being descriptive: Jennifer is Dandelion's current manager and following is how she described a recommended wine: Vignerons de Buxy, Bourgogne Chardonnay, $19: Clear, its color is yellow to light gold. Its nose plays on a floral register, like hawthorn, acacia. Aromatic, simple and tasteful wine which can be served as an aperitif, with an onion tart, quenelles, or dishes based on fish or white meats. Delightful, organic Chardonnay to drink by the glass or to complement a soft cheese plate (Vacherin, Coulommiers,...) or with the whole range of Gruyère. So you can see the big difference in how wines were described to me. Maybe Steve isn't expressive or doesn't have the deep knowledge like Megan or Jennifer? Or maybe he didn't think I would be a repeat or profitable customer? Who knows but he got the first part right as I do not plan on returning. I'd rather shop from Dandelion Wine when I'm in NYC. More importantly, even if Steve was more helpful and forthcoming about the less expensive white wine, I would not recommend Dylan's because during the cooler months, the low-lying sun shines on many of the bottles of wine in their window-filled store. There's no way every bottle is turned over daily, weekly or often enough to avoid degradation.

Steve the owner runs a great operation - he hand picks the selection and he always respects your budget. Check out the Hudson River Cruise tasting nights as well
