I was born and raised in Pearl River and live in New city now. I go out of my way to do to ShopRite in Pearl River cause it’s so much nicer. I can literally walk to New City Shoprite but prefer the Pearl River location. I haven’t been to the Pearl River location in a while because I have been very busy with work. I came in the other day and wanted a nice salad. I cannot say more then WOW! The produce department was stocked so nicely and everything was so fresh. I asked an employee named Rebekah where the salads and dressing were and she was beyond helpful and very professional. I will be shopping here for all of my future needs.

WORST SHOPPING CARTS EVER — 95% I shop here the shopping cart rattles and make a racket. ZERO maintenance on their terrible shopping carts. Wear ear plugs!

The WiFi in the store rarely works so you can use shopping apps like Yuka or add digital coupons.
The produce is also very poor quality

I’ve been shopping at this store for years, because I used to feel the quality was better, even though they are the most expensive ShopRite in the area. However I am done. I have noticed over the past few months, I’d buy food and within a couple days it would become moldy or go bad. I’m talking about bakery rolls, produce, meat, to packaged food. I had to start truly digging in their shelves to check for expiration dates and would always find they had next day expired products on the shelf. Their produce, specifically berries always has mold in them, their organic bananas are hung over an area that literally emanates heat and I am so lost as to why they do that. The bakery items in the bins are always hard, and then if you buy them in the bags, they’re going to go moldy in a day. Their meat department smells awful and the meat is soooooo expensive. Their meat is also something you need to carefully watch the date on. Same with the packaged bread because they like to keep their food longer than they should. I’d also be careful of packaged foods in general, my theory is they never take anything down and they just hope we buy it all. I’m done with this store and paying overpriced to just have to throw it away.

Been going there for years, overall nice. But today when I went to check out the cashier asked if I could go to another register. Her light was on and she was just about finished with the previous customer, I asked if she was closing and she said “no, but I’ve had a lot of customers already”. I should have stayed there but I went to a different register and watched her stand there watching her co-workers ring up the customers she was turning away. Really?

Had a very poor experience at ShopRite today with a very rude employee at self checkout she had a attitude when we asked for assistance because we needed approval for a coupon in the 18 years we have been going to this ShopRite it’s the worse experience we have ever had with customer service

Pearl river shoprite is the best, I had been at other shoprites and so far pearl river is the one with fresh products and variety.
