Small, cramped, and lacking a bit in the liquor section, Wineology leaves me dissatisfied nearly everytime I venture inside. Ostensibly friendly, the staff proved itself viciously self- serving on numerous occasions. As one reviewer noted, they have "customer rules" posted, which, to me, provides evidence against the alleged class of this establishment. Rarely is it a sign of elevated service when you tell your customers to behave with set of trivial, nigh peurile conditions.The staff embodies this petulance in its willingness to help so long as questions do not step on any toes. As someone who worked in a liquor store for four years between 18 and 22, I detest this type of comportment by staff. Yeah, you get some jerks, but pitting yourself against customers and refusing even sensible requests--such as when I asked whether ordering Redbreast or a high end scotch was possible and received a peremptory response-- is off-putting. I'm offering to wait and purchase a specific bottle with a high price point from a business and the manager says no because it requires a modicum of effort (and humility)? Come on!Unless I'm desperate, I'll avoid going here again. I'm not sure why I have patronized it so much in the first place.

Just had a rude employee make up some bs law about having an out of state ID. The selection isn't the best, everything is overpriced. Nothing seems to be organized or put away. Don't recommend it. Go anywhere but here.

My new favorite wine and spirits go-to spot! I had come here a few times in the past just to grab a quick bottle of wine here and there. Came here recently and this time I had to grab a few more things than the usual. I usually go to a much larger location with a LOT more variety where I do my "stock up" trips to. Instead of going there, decided to stop in here. It was so nice to be able to browse the store without feeling 50 eyes on you or the pressure of feeling like you can't just look around without getting overly asked if you need help. Huge pet peeve, lol! This place isn't like that! After picking out a few bottles of wine and spirits, the owner was so kind to honor a 6 bottle discount since I mentioned that's what my usual store does. Loved coming here, a lot of wine selection and very reasonable pricing. Owner and staff are very kind and you know what, #supportlocal

Don't listen to the nasty reviews. There are signs posted all OVER the doors about their customer rules.They are lovely, great people.The owner is a bit quiet and shy, and Ruth is wonderful.If people just politely follow the rules they set for their store, then NO PROBLEM.No need for any more nasty and rude behavior from the customers. Ruth is very knowledgeable , smart and sweet, but she won't tolerate rudeness in her store. I don't blame ANY OF THEM, one tiny bit.Have good manners, and you'll be arriving like family!

They did not initially have a sweet vermouth that I love. Andy (??) ordered it for me. I can buy it in Brewster but this place is closer. Only complaint is that the woman is rude & has an attitude. But she has helped me find wines I may want. I have noticed that she is NOT rude to other patrons...hmmm. Andy is NOT rude & appears to be cheerful to see me. I have used "their carts" in the store & was never told no carts, etc. I would have rated 5 stars if it wasn't for this woman's rudeness & attitude.
