It is our first lizard, and so we have much to learn—more than anything we want to be sure we are providing a healthy environment. John was glad to share of his extensive experience. My wife and I both left feeling like we had avoided many pitfalls that we would have blindly walked into had we gone the ‘big box pet store’ route instead.The store itself is also an experience: it is a small shop, packed wall to wall and floor to ceiling with fish, lizards, snakes, birds, spiders, and who knows what else. It may not be Big Box Pet Store pretty inside, but the animals are healthy and John is an expert and willing teacher.I would emphatically recommend Dutchess Exotics.”

“The staff here is absolutely wonderful. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and work hard to keep the store clean and organized. One of the associates even carried the bag of dog food to my car when I was on crutches over the summer. My dog is always happy with the food I bring home and the occasional treat.For the most part, the prices are very reasonable considering the quality you’re getting. It would be nice however if the points on the rewards program added up more quickly.”
