Consistently LOUSY produce. Multiple times I've bought items from the produce section of this store and found that they were spoiled when I got them home. Also recently bought 4 pints of a craft beer and when I got it home it was skunked, i.e. it had been allowed to get warm in transit and spoiled. Their deli selection is also mysteriously poor. They don't carry havarti cheese. AT ALL?! I've tried to defend going here to my wife because it's closer than any Stop & Shop, but I think they may have finally tipped the scales for me and I'm going to go somewhere else.

This pharmacy is great. Friendly staff. Denise is lovely. The CVS pharmacy blows so I tried this pharmacy out and I have no ragrets. Not even one.

So since I live less than 5 minutes from this location I thought I give it a try. ACME store itself is horrible as I have outlined in my other Yelp reviews. So Doc sends over script about noon time. I wait until 3pm and nothing from them. No text or anything. Rite Aid sends you a text that they received the script. They send you a text when ready for pick up but nothing from ACME. So I called and no answer, sent to voicemail. Left a message to please have someone call back with the status. Well I'm still waiting for this call back. At about 5pm finally went in and picked up my meds. I didn't notice being sick that they charged me $52 for the med that is covered by my insurance with max copay of $17. The pharmacist kept screwing up the checkout process and since I purchased other items assumed he made the appropriate calculations. This is not the first time I have used this pharmacy so they have all my med cards and copays on file. I've been sick and have not had time to go in to dispute but I will once I am better. Acme continues to fail.

Ever since this place opened the produce has been the worst. I finally went back again and now I just had to throw out more fruits and vegetables - they literally molded OVERNIGHT. 2 organic kiwi (in plastic so not able to feel them) were straight mush the first night. Basically, it seems the last few years have NOT improved this produce manager's work. I am done here with this store again. I do not recommend buying fruit or veg - this has happened to me at least 10 times now. Waste of money.

UPDATE: I received a call from what I guess was the district manager, unfortunately I was in NYC taking my daughter to see Hamilton, so really could not talk at length. But we briefly spoke of the issues highlighted below and agreed he would get back to me via email etc. That was October 6th. I have yet to hear back from him. Another example of how ACME really doesn't care. I recently moved to the Patterson area from Carmel after 20 years. This has to be the worse store I have ever been. I utilized the bathroom after getting a shot at the pharmacy and the bathroom was disgusting. First of all shopping costs at this store is far beyond any grocery store in the area. Second, the employees in this store have no clue. They pull you in to utilizing their app. I am very computer savvy and have no issues with any type of app. I have utilized the ShopRite app, and works perfectly. When I went to check out (and this has happened 3 times) the items I placed in the shopping cart were unable to be discounted at the register. The kid working the register had no clue on how to get the discounts. After I get home I take a second look at my receipt, not only did I not get the discount on the items in the app but I was overcharged for 4 other items. I call into customer service and she was basically blaming ME for the issue. Here words were "oh that is not the checkout clerks issue". Really? The prices you see in the aisle should be the same prices at the register. Why should I have to go back to the aisle to make sure what they are ringing up is correct. Ironically, I had to do that in the past, take a photo of the item in the aisle and when (again) the wrong cost rang up, I had to pull out the photo to show them. Quite frankly I feel they know this is happening, they know this is a scam, they know when people are in a rush they are not going to check. But think about how many times this happens to how many patrons? I live 5 minutes from this store, we will NEVER patronize this store again. I will drive to ShopRite or a little further to Hannaford's. I've added a photo of the ham I purchased. I will let you decide.

Super friendly staff who are great with patient education and pricing concerns, and they are quite fast at filling prescriptions! I’m also impressed that they took the time to ask specifically about me and my family and get to know us. That level of patient engagement and communication makes it feel almost like a family practice clinic (except with cereal and eggs next to you) and I appreciate that extra effort!

I came here to get food for a party that I was co-hosting, and it was easy to find everything I needed. This grocery store has almost everything you could need or want. The produce is fresh and delicious too. Sometimes if you're lucky, you'll be able to get your hands on a couple bags of shishito peppers, which in my opinion is the best kind of pepper. You can also find gluten and dairy-free Oreos which is almost impossible to find anywhere else. The employees there are also really kind and are willing to help you with anything you need. I'm also impressed by their selection of condiments and was able to find gluten and dairy free sauces including spicy mayo which is also the best. I wish I could find an ACME Market on the Upper West Side because I'm very happy.

Denise from Acme literally just saved my day! I had a fiasco with another store grocery pick up and two small kids. I couldn't wait until the 4pm pick up time and she was so kind and accommodating! Thank you Denise!

Can it get any worse? Overpriced, produce Dept is ridiculous, don't buy their rotten fish, watch out for their expired meats, can get beer cheaper at the fricking gas station, I really can't say one good thing about this UN-supermarket. Bring back the A&P and union workers that knew how to run a market. Garbage!

I've lived here most of my life, and have always shopped here. Well, I won't be supporting them anymore. This evening, at self checkout, an employee came up to me and put an empty box in front of me. He told me I dropped it and when I tried to give it back and said it wasn't mine, he insisted that I should I pay for it. His words- "No, it's okay. Just pay for it and it will be fine." After seeing it was an empty box of Tylenol PM I realized he was accusing me. Mortified, I tried to unzip my bag and told him he could search it. Pissed and upset, I obviously wanted to speak to a manager. Turns out HE is the manager! He then gaslighted me on what had just happened. All I wanted was an apology for his mistake of embarrassing me and instead he argued that I heard wrong and he was just trying to give me back something he thought I dropped. I'm sorry but... I want an empty box of painkillers? I don't know who made that man manager, but I will not be returning while he is still an employee there!

The prices are so high and some of the cashiers are rude. Bought cherries a and grapes a couple of weeks ago and I put them in a plastic bag and brought them to the register I do not want two pound of fruit I wanted just enough for the work day . The girl had no idea what the code for the cherries and grapes were because they weren't in the original bag from the produce section and just in their regular clear plastic produce bags that hang in the aisle. They ended up suspending the order to bring me to customer service so they can put the cherry and grapes code in...smh . Only reason I go here is bc I work near by. Also the baking team pretends they don't see you and takes them forever to help you.

Pharmacists are always friendly and quick to contact my doctor's office for refills and clarifications. They have on multiple occassions caught if an order doesn't look correct, or recommended I be prescribed 90 day quantities instead of multiple 30 day refills to save me money.

My favorite place to shop! The employees are always friendly and very helpful! Sale items are easy to find and the meat department is the best in town!!!!
