Wasted two hours of my time for an inspection on a 20 year old truck, just to not pass because my back seats were lowered and they couldn’t see seatbelt latches. Went somewhere else with common sense and passed in less than 5 minutes.

They were straightforward in letting me know how long it would take to get my work done, and as far as I can see, they did a great job so there is no complaints on my side.

Showed up with a broken CV joint they took me right away. Got it done fast. great Mechanics highly recommend. Very good prices, straight forward i got some work done here a year ago and will always go here from now on.

They rented me a u haul van that did the job perfectly. 20 bucks an hour plus 2 bucks a mile. Perfect!

1st time here. For inspection & engine light on dashboard. He never called to tell the price......* made me pay the inspection b/4I went back home in my bicycle.Called the car ready. I Checked the mileage.....I had around 20 more Miles on the reading. Name was Harvey.After I tol him about the miles..he said.... he went home w/my car the day b/4. & ck the engine light while driving it. And when he gives me the bill...he was charging me inspection again. Like maybe I miss it while reading.. So he had to change the billI will never come back hereI remember this story 'cause I need inspection these days.........& this story came back to memory....from a year ago exactly.

Unprofessional, took my car there for an inspection, the old guy told me he would call me if anything was wrong. He called me to come pick up the vehicle insisted I paid cash then gave me the paper and said the car failed inspection due to a lug broken on a tire and a headlight out after having the guy the bring the car up for me. He failed to mention he broke two studs on the tire and let me drive away with only three lug nuts. Then was annoyed when I wasn't leaving my other car to be inspected by him. He should not be inspecting vehicles, and he should never have taken my money without offering to repair meanwhile it was dangerous to drive away with only three lugs. I do not recommend this business for any services.

No one loves having to find a new mechanic last minute. My car was having issues today for the first time since we bought our house in Patchogue Village 2 years ago. I picked Tomar initially because it is less than a mile from my house and it’s 4.9 star reviews on google. I’m so happy I went there and now have a go to spot right in our town to do my inspections, tires, oil changes, and anything that comes up with our family cars in the future. Tony and Harvey were both great though I mainly dealt with Tony. I called first and he was extremely pleasant on phone then in person it was the same. As a woman going to a mechanic, sometimes there is a worry that you will be ripped off or talked down to when you don’t know cars, neither of which I experienced. Luckily all I needed was an oil change and nothing else was wrong with my car. I felt they were honest, fair-priced, assisted me immediately, and treated me and my car with respect. They didn’t try to tell me other work I could get done, they respected what I needed to do and did it without issue. I normally drive 30 miles to a mechanic that I have been using for 15 years, but am happy to say I no longer have to do that after my experience at Tomar today. I am looking forward to having a new hometown mechanic that I can trust and be a loyal customer to!Services: Oil change
