This store and specifically Jeff came through for us with such grace, kindness, and swiftness. My partner is a groomsmen and due to a mishap we walk in an hour before close the day before the wedding in search of the closest match we can buy. Jeff and I stared at the phone screen to make magic happen and he did it. So a million thanks!

I had a custom suit made for myself and 7 other suits for my groomsmen. Jeffrey walked me through the whole process. He was attentive, meticulous, and very friendly. He really made the whole process a pleasure. I will certainly be back for suits for myself. I highly recommend Jeffrey if you go there.

It’s weird to me this place has good reviews. My fiancé and I ordered a custom tailored vest for him for our wedding. It cost us $250.00. An absurd amount of money but we thought, “this will be perfectly tailored and we get to pick all the materials.” Getting this vest was nothing short of a nightmare. We were initially shown a type of material that is not used for vests so we had to pick a second option. Then after a few weeks, our second option apparently was out of stock. So we had to pick a third option that was also out of stock. So we wound up paying for our 4th option (we paid in full prior to knowing any of this). Additionally, after almost 2 full months when the vest finally arrived, IT DID NOT FIT AT ALL. The manager of this store spent about 20 minutes taking my fiancés measurements for the vest to arrive perfectly tailored and it was HUGE. They said they would tailor it “for free” but we lost all faith in their ability to give us what we paid for at this point so we spent additional money taking it to a tailor we trust (who was SHOCKED when we told him the vest was ordered custom because the fit was so poor). We also took the suit we ordered from this same place to our tailor who said the jacket was not the right size after we had purchased it. I honestly could have lit $600 on fire and felt more satisfied than spending it here. When I told other people about this debacle, they said that they had similar experiences with this location. It’s extremely disappointing to feel cheated out of hundreds of dollars for our wedding day. If I could give 0 stars instead of 1, I would. I never write reviews but this was just the worst purchase I think I’ve ever made. Save your money and go to a place that treats its customers with respect by delivering the product that was paid for.

Quickly attended to and guided in the right direction by saleswoman. She was friendly but also gave me my space to look over the options. I purchased a blazer. Pleasant experience.

My husband and I chose Karako Suits to dress our groomsmen for our wedding and aside from the salesman Jeffrey’s kind personality, we are completely dissatisfied and would never return for future suit needs. We decided to purchase everyone’s suits as a gift to our groomsmen. We purchased a total of 7 three piece suits and shoes for an estimated cost of $3,000. All 7 suits were Karako’s own brand, not designer suits. To start, I question why do they advertise giving additional ‘free’ pieces when you buy a suit because nothing we got was for free! Secondly, the service was absolutely LOUSY (again, aside from Jeffreywho is the ONLY thing that was positive throughout our experience), in the many times we were there we encountered a salesman eating a sandwich at the front desk, who didn’t feel the need to get up from his stool to assist nor did he avoid talking with chewed food in his mouth. There were many issues we encountered, we were initially told on our first visit after we selected what we wanted that all that needed to be done was to have our groomsmen come in at their convenience to be sized. Well, when a groomsman went as we were instructed, he was told they had no record of our wedding or suit selections but that he should return another day when Jeffrey was there (Jeffrey clearly is the brains of the operation and too often we were told by the staff they had no clue about our wedding, where altered suit items were. Our best man joked to a staff member, ‘so basically if Jeffrey quit tomorrow our wedding would be screwed?’ To which the staff laughed off. Instead of handing us 7 completed suit packages with accessory and shoes, we were given pieces to their availability which only added to the confusion of who got what and who needed what later on. Several alterations were incorrect and had to be redone and when the time came to pick up the suits, of course Jeffrey wasn’t in that day and we were told they had no idea where our stuff was and to come back. Once we received the suits, not one was pressed, nor placed on an appropriate suit hanger that had a trouser bar. The suit pants were placed on a wire hanger under a dry cleaning type plastic bag with the jackets held together to the pant hanger by a rubber band. . Needless to say, all 7 three piece suits needed to be pressed as they should’ve been before they were given to us. The final straw was the day before the wedding when we realized some groomsmen were missing some accessories and my husband had to go back to get them and lastly, the day of the wedding was mass confusion as the staff did not properly package the suits and several groomsmen had another groomsman’s pants with their jacket, etc. to say nothing of the fact that we had suspenders for all suits and found the morning of the wedding that some n3ver had the suspenders buttons sewn into the pants. My mother always taught me to keep my mouth shut if i did t have anything nice to say, but BUYER BEWARE, So after giving Karako $3000 of our business and entrusting them with the importance of clothing our wedding party we had too many negative, unpleasant and sub-par experiences that I felt the need to share as the entire process was unprofessional from start to finish and I’d hate to see another bride and groom go through what we experienced.

Please read !This is the worst place to purchase a suit and have altered, 2 days before (a wedding to look your best at) having several fittings, they cut the sleeve while telling them there was alot of thread's hanging, and on me, they cut the sleeve of the jacket. After all of the **** **'*, they did nothing for me after calling in favors from friends who work for the Co... good luck. I had to pick a suit of the rack and pay deary to alter. GOOD LUCK !

I’d give this place 0 stars if it was an option. I went to this location on December 31st for a wedding in October. They took all my groomsmen’s measurements and told me they would call me. They never did. I called them in July and I was told that all the measurements of my me and groomsmen were nowhere to be found. The sales associate that was helping me was Tiffany who after this experience I wouldn’t buy a pair of socks from if she worked there. Initially she told me to choose a backup for a suit because of the upcoming prom in 5 MONTHS essentially saying they couldn’t put in an order in advance for the suits I had been fitted for. I called her and asked when we could expect the suits expecting there to be some sort of date we could get our final fittings. I called her 2 times and every time she had no idea who she was talking to even with the phone calls being 2 days apart. We then decided to go in person to try and sort it out. She again did not remember me from talking to her on the phone from the day prior. She then Looked throughout the store for the suits and said they don’t have the suits, saying they don’t carry that color anymore even though they were supposed to be ordered months prior to us being there. Then instead of her admitting there was a mistake and being apologetic she tried to defend her point by saying “ That’s why we switched the suits”. The suits were never switched I was just told to choose a backup which also was not ordered. Overall complete negligence going on in this store and the fact they are still in business is nothing short of a miracle.

The gentleman who welcomed us was very friendly but we Incredibly disappointing experience with representative Tiffany. She misplaced the sheets with measurements and never ordered the suits needed for the wedding. GO TO KARAKOS IN SELDEN.

I had the most wonderful experience at Karako Suits in Selden. Super courteous & very professional. I not only purchased a beautiful black suit, & in addition to that a matching tie, shirt & tie clasp. Caleb was my salesman. He was outstanding & so professional with his help.I would recommend Caleb & Karako suits to everyone. Needless to say the store was absolutely beautiful & as clean as a whistle. Caleb was a super star salesman. Gentleman if you are looking for a wonderful suit for yourself then see Caleb at the Selden branch . Much thanks to the entire staff.

Be careful of the quality of the suits and the tailors at this location. Bought a suit that I thought looked good, and the tailor did a terrible job on the pants. Went back to the store and was told sorry, nothing we can do. I did try it on in store, but felt very rushed from sales staff. Words of caution for anyone going here for suits, shirts, or tailoring.

My boyfriend went here on my recommendation, and purchased a suit and some accessories. The sale went without a hitch. $800.00 later he had what I needed for the wedding. He tipped the sales associate as well. Thursday before the wedding, he went to pick up his suit, after having alterations done. The pick up date they wrote down was wrong. They asked him to come back tomorrow (Friday) and they would get his alterations done. He went back Friday to pick up the suit. He tried on the suit once more to make sure alterations were ok. They weren't. They never sewed in suspender button holes. So he waited while they sewed the button holes. the next day (Saturday) was the wedding. It was a very early wedding. He put on his suit to find out that the sleeves on his shirt were much shorter than the shirt he tried on the first night when he purchased the suit. Clearly the saLes associate pulled the wrong size. The button holes for the suspenders were uneven, which made his suspenders uneven, and the holes were different sizes! He had no choice but to wear the suit, as it was, because he had no time to stop to get a new shirt and didn't have that size at home. Two days after the wedding he went back to them to have them fix the suspended button holes. the sales associate pointed out to him that they did the entire button hole process wrong by the way they sewed them in. When he gave the sales associate the wrong sized shirt and asked to have the one he should've gotten, the salesman refused and said it was as worn (which my boyfriend explained why he had to wear this uncomfortable $74.00 shirt the day of the wedding) but he would deeply discount the new shirt!!! After waiting for the suspended holes to be fixed, my boyfriend left. He wasn't going to continue to argue with this man, who couldn't see that his company made the mistake, on multiple things actually. I sent an email/text to Karako about this whole situation, and I got no response. So now I'm sharing this with you. Karako lost 4 customers because of this. Imagine that, all over a shirt that probably cost Karako $15! Go to Men's Warehouse.
