This is one of the best bank branch to visit for your financial transactions All the tellers are too nice and polite, hard working and always helping customers. The manager and assistant manager have immense knowledge in banking their advice is always helpful. Thank you again.

Horrible customer service. Tried to get help from an overweight woman at desk I am describing physically because I didn’t catch her name, I was nice and polite and she was short rude and unhelpful. She would barely answer me! I felt like I was in a zombie movie will being inside.

I go there to make deposits as part of my job and they're always courteous and accurate. The place is also really nice inside.

This bank has become ridiculous. Only 1 teller working inside and covering 2 drive up lanes. I waited almost 45 minutes on drive up... I was 2nd car.....cannot leave once in line. Astoria was never like this.

The WORST bank I have ever dealt with by a long shot! They closed the branch by me.. now I travel to a farther one to wait online.. tellers very rude & inattentive.. then they closed for 2 days due to snow with no one going in to reconcile the ATM.. so deposit sat in there for 3 days & they bounced things on me & I had to call & wait I hold for almost 2 hours to have the charges reversed! Horrible service... now I will move everything from this sorry excuse for a bank!

Astoria was great. The Astoria tellers were great. Sterling has taken over and fired Astoria associates and closed branches and now the service stinks. It’s too bad.

Actually, I have never been to this branch, so my review is not about it, but about STERLING NATIONAL BANK itself. Their mortgage servicer is a joke that isn't funny. To correct any mistake THEY HAVE MADE will cost you at least 10 hours of your life that you will not get back, and they will make multiple mistakes that YOU pay for, so be prepared to lose a good chunk of your life and be frustrated and angry a lot. You can expect that their CS people will not know what they are doing, will not be able to direct you to someone that does know what they are doing and you will be frustrated and angry beyond anything you may have experienced with "customer service" before in your lifetime. According to every one of their CS reps I have spoken to, supervisors are not available and responsible departments are not available to speak with either. Then there is the bank itself. Wait times for customer service are outrageous and are always blamed on COVID. While other companies have moved past the pandemic and adjusted, Sterling remains an excuse maker. They charge you a service fee with no explanation, you call and are told wait time is over 30 minutes, After being on hold for over 10 minutes, it's still over 30 minutes according to that lovely automated message. You listen to that awful repeating piano "music" and then the auto message comes on telling you to press 1 to leave a call back number, not losing your place in line. What happens when you press 1? NOTHING. The awful music continues and you are not able to leave a call back number. Press 1 many many times, NOTHING. So, if you want anger and frustration in you life, make Sterling National your choice as a bank. If not, stay as far away as you can! I might note here that the only reason I am stuck with them is that I was a former Astoria Federal customer and Sterling took them over. While I can change my banking accounts, I am stuck with their loan servicer. It is like being convicted for a crime you haven't committed and being sentenced to 30 years of hell.

I would give them less stars if possible. They have no customer service whatsoever ! We had a commercial equipment loan and paid it off early just to get rid of them ! I would Not recommend giving them any business !
