“My dog Liberty got sick and a wonderful woman took me to this location and introduced me to the ladies here(Gale if you read this THANK YOU for what you did!!) The vet tech was originally just going to look her over because they didn't have an opening for the doctor at that moment but they managed to, what I assume, rearrange things/squeeze me in and took Liberty in to be seen by the doctor. Thank you so much for fitting Liberty in for an emergency visit! I absolutely highly recommend that if you need a vet, to come here! The ladies here are absolutely some of the most wonderful people I have ever met, very gentle with animals, and they take time with you to go over everything and explain everything in a way that you can understand.”
“They say first impressions are everything. South Shore Animal Hospital has gained my trust. I am a new dog owner with a currently 6 month old Black Lab Mix named Luke. I had been looking to get established with a Vet and had been doing some research. But when Luke had some issues that needed attention I started frantically calling places to be met with a lot of rudeness and no availability. I found South Shore and booked an appointment online for the soonest available which was 3 days later. I called up and explained the situation and they were happy to squeeze me in the same day on a Saturday. Now I can’t say if I got lucky or if they did me a favor but I appreciated them getting in a new customer same day on a Saturday. The Staff were kind and were patient with Luke as he is still a puppy and made him feel comfortable at his first visit. Their pricing seems reasonable although I did not need anything major but the exam fee seemed okay. They answered all my questions as a new dog owner would have. I’m glad I found them and will consider bringing in our cat Pumpkin in as well as needed. Thank you South Shore Animal Hospital. We will see you again”

“Dr. Wallach is truly the vet everyone needs. He takes his time and speaks to you before and after seeing your pet and goes over diagnosis and prognosis in so much detail. I've transferred care from another vet in the area and have never looked back since! My dog Coco was in pain due to unknown causes and Dr. Wallach has been wonderful. Dr. Miglorino is an exceptional vet. She makes my furbabies feel so comfortable and loved that they look forward to going each visit.
Alesha at the front desk is a blessing and always finds a way to get you in for an appointment to make sure your pups are taken care of.
Dr. Paoloni just did surgery on one of my pups and I am beyond pleased with the care during and after surgery to get him back to good health.
Glenn, Kristal and the entire rest of the staff are super friendly, answer all of my questions and are each very helpful in taking care of my pups.

The Dr and her assistant were very calming and spent an unusual amount of time to get to know my Boxer. They played with her and gave her alot of treats. “I can't begin to express how grateful I am for this place. 13 years ago, I was referred here by a friend. I would travel from Freeport to East Norwich. There were plenty of good vets by me on the south shore but nothing compared to the staff at Animal General. I then moved to Huntington and I still took the trip. I have 2 dogs but as my one dog got older, we had to frequent the vet more. They always took such good care of me and my girl. Dr. Perrone and Dr. Leonhardt are absolutely amazing at what they do- not only are they great with pets but they always knew how to explain things in a way which I would understand. They are extremely thorough and helpful. The ladies are the front desk are truly the best- Haley, Donna, Maeve, and Sharon. I spoke to these women daily when my dog was at the end of her life and they were always so understanding and so helpful. Eventually, I will get another pup as a friend for my remaining dog and when I do I will still take the 30 mile round trip to this place.”

“I took my dog Benny here for PT and acupuncture every Monday for nearly 2 years. Without the help of Victoria and Riley in PT and Dr. Donato who did his acupuncture, Benny would not have been able to continue living a comfortable life. Benny has multiple issues, arthritis, disc issues, ACL and joint issues. You could truly see a difference in his day to day comfort due to these wonderful folks. Benny was genuinely excited to go here each week which speaks to the kind of care they provide. I highly recommend them for anyone considering these treatment options. Even the front office staff is amazing. Thanks to all at GCCVC, Benny and I will truly miss you.”
