Small cemetery where Teddy Roosevelt was buried. Surprisingly, there is no mention of him being a president at his gravesite.

What a wonderful summer camp for kids. Julie and all the staff are absolutely amazing and the kids have so much fun at wilderness camp. Highly recommended.

Theodor Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center onCove road in Oysterbay NY is a wonderful place to explore. The grounds the treesBird feeding sections and the water area are full of life, trees, flowers and Birds. Bring something to see them and catch photos. Check on line for schedule season and s hiked events. Be aware it is not the easiest place for people handicapped though there are some actions of availability. A nice place to take the family.

Another thing we had no idea existed until our boy and I randomly find things for us to do on days off. Took us a minute to find this place especially it being small we passed right by it (oops) but once we found it, it was a nice walk. I think there was another longer trail but it had been raining on and off so we didn't want to chance being further away if it started raining again. Places like this just make me love long island, especially Oyster bay.

A beautiful fall afternoon with colorful trees and birds. This is a fairly small place, but it's very quiet and a lovely place for a leisurely walk. The fountain is also attractive and there are nearby benches to watch the birds or just read. My wife and I had a great time.

So peaceful just hearing the birds chirping. We actually saw a frog in the man-made pond.

The Sanctuary is lovely. My one concern is that if you take the trail all the way down to the beach, the return trip is somewhat steep. Plan accordingly.

Native plant sales are terrific. Very helpful volunteers helped me get the plants back to my car. Great experience.
