I wonder what these Karen’s expect. I retired from working for the Gov. . The post office up here is great; friendly fast service. I think the post office is the only government department that’s in not subsided by you taxes. ( the stamps pay ). Keep up the good work

Since we got a new carrier on our street a couple months ago I have had to call the P.O several times about my outgoing mail not getting picked up. It happened again today and I am done being patient.

For 16 years, my mail was delivered by a woman who recently retired. No issues. The new mail carrier folds my mail and places it in the rather small mailbox I have in very bent form whereas with a slight twist of the wrist, he could place it in the box in a far less bent form. I asked gently to speak to the Postmaster about this. She came to the window with an unfriendly face, no greeting, and upon my showing her pictures of what I meant and the actual folded cards (with folded pictures inside) said there's nothing she can do about it. "He has to do it with one hand, she said." As I said, it takes a slight twist of the wrist to do it without deep bends. Simple solution. Simple training of staff. She's not up to the job of Postmaster, IMHO. Sad. Two weeks before Christmas, the only stamps available were American flags and Day of the Dead skeleton stamps. Same Postmaster, who didn't feel a need to order Holiday or winter stamps.

Damaged my property in the act of delivering my mail. The Postmaster for the Owego office in my opinion is not qualified for her position. You would expect the highest standard of conduct & professionalism from a individual in that position. Instead "in my experience & opinion" she will straight out lie to you make things up as she goes in short fabricate company policy as the conversation progresses. In defense of a delivery person she actually looked me in the eye and stated "It is a "Nation wide Rule" that all postman are required to turn there vehicle around in your driveway after driving up it to deliver mail or package. There is ABSOLUTLY no backing up allowed under any circumstance. They carry trackers that monitor there reverse use. Also if your driveway is not wide enough for the alleged turn around rule you will not receive your package no matter how small. Contrary to my research which states they are NOT supposed to drive up a private driveway they ARE required to park exit there vehicle and WALK your delivery up your driveway to your door unless the item is to large or heavy then you would receive a notice of a package to be picked up at the office. That is providing that the distance of the walk is with in reasonable limits Which mine falls well within those parameters. Her tails escalated from there my blood is starting to boil so I will stop here.

So i am a manager of one of the businesses in owego, and bc she doesnt want to put a mask on she leaves the mail outside. Mail with personal information that could cause others to lose their jobs. She left a subpoena outside for anyone to pick it up. Your job is to deliver the mail.. not her way she doesn't work for McDonald's.

Do they not instruct mail carriers that at an apartment complex, each mailbox and each apartment is a legally separate address? Knocking on the first door is NOT the same as knocking on the door for apartment 2. So no you did NOT attempt delivery as I'm sitting on my couch next to the door waiting for the mail lady so I can sign for my package. Owego NY branch is horrible for this.

In owego on Liberty, Temple, McMaster and Central st there is a couple handful and half of us been having problems getting our mail from agencies such as Social Security, Dss, and, HUD, and places as of such businesses but getting our junk mail. When 4 years you get mail every Wednesday from agencies and then all of a sudden for 6 months now your not getting things on that day and you call the agencies and they say that your supposed to still be getting that designated day I think it's a failure that should be looked at.

Mail service is fair for the most part. I have had 2 incidents where pkgs disappeared; tracking shows it was delivered at/near mailbox yet I never received them. I do have a porch but actually found a pkg dumped in my driveway just last week, so who knows what happened to the missing ones ,,,
