The Orient Country Store is a delightful, quaint, and vintage country store in Orient. It is a true community shop where locals and visitors can stop for breakfast or lunch, and also pick up necessities, souvenirs, and books. The owners and staff are exceptionally friendly and genuinely incredible. The food is absolutely amazing and exceptional, considered the best anywhere on the North Fork. They offer wonderful, freshly made items like quinoa salad, and exceptional sandwiches such as the BLT, ham and brie, and a mushroom sandwich. The baking is really good and even better than the sandwiches. Highlights include breakfast bagel sandwiches on fresh bagels, the best oatmeal cookies, banana bread, coconut macaroons, blueberry muffins, and snickerdoodle cookies. The rule is if they bake it, it’s going to be delicious. It is a highly recommended gem, a shining star, and definitely worth the stop for a meal or a baked good.
