Lately this is the most expensive place to grocery shop in the Southtowns. They must be really hurting since the bankruptcy. Take the time to grocery shop else where. Your wallet will thank you.

Last year, I was shopping for bananas the Tops Maple and Transit location. After I inserted my phone into the front pocket of my shorts, the mobile phone fell to the floor. As I was about to pick up the phone I noticed a working heading in the path where the phone fell a few feet away. The worker, wearing black shirt with a red collar, was dangerously close, so instead instead of reaching down to pick up my phone I told the worker "I dropped my phone" and "watch out." Oblivious to my commands, the worker ran over my phone with the cart, causing two of the four wheels of the cart to knock the flimsy cover of the phone and and cause damage to the screen and stylus. Judging by the colors of the employee's shirt I was certain it was a Tops employee who had damaged my phone. I called Tops customer service explain what had happened but they insisted that they reviewed video of the incident and insisted that it was not a Tops Employee they view in the incident, but a Coca Cola vender and they were not responsible. I had no idea how it would be possible a Coca Cola vender would be pushing a cart carrying produce into the produce department. She along with other representatives told that a representative of Coca Cola's insurance provider would be in touch with me and warned that I could that I could be responsible for committing fraud. When I got in touch with Coca Cola's insurance representative I was stunned how unprofessional she was. I assumed she had access to the very same video the Tops employees had allegedly viewed and insisted she view it. "Check the video," I said. She then replied "yeah, I'll check the video," with a hint of sarcasm. I said it may not have been a Coca Cola employee because the person maneuvering the cart was wearing a shirt like most Tops employees commonly wear. I then asked what she saw in the video. After asking. She then revealed to me that there was no video and the call ended abruptly thereafter. Following the call, I continued to call Tops' costumer service to inform them what happened , insisting it was Tops and not the Coca Cola Company that was responsible for the damage of my mobile phone. To this day, I was compesated by Tops with not even a ten-doller gift certificate. It's really a shame how petty Tops has become.

This review is strictly for the fish fry. You don't go to an Italian restaurant to order pierogi in Western New York and you shouldn't go to this tops to order a fish fry. it was Friday and I had to go there anyway so I figured why not, however once I got it home I found a flat piece of what tasted like week old fish and smelled that way too, with a tough hard breading?. The coleslaw was pre-packaged and completely tasteless, no seasoning whatsoever and the fries tasted like they had been sitting around for hours, stale and tough. After two bites of this meal, it ended up in the garbage. Step it up tops, you can do better than this.

There is a potential COVID-19 exposure issue here that I have reported to management 4 TIMES now, and nothing had changed. There is one guy that works at the fresh meat and seafood counter that every single time I see him, his mask is not on properly. Once, it was under his chin, not even over his mouth. In every case, it's not covering his nose. And he's working with fresh food! I would even understand if he were stocking, but he's working with fresh, exposed food and interfacing with customers at the meat counter. In each case, I reported it, and each time I was assured they take it seriously and would address it with him. Cleary they haven't addressed it with him, or he just doesn't care. The last two times I shopped, I bypassed buying ANYTHING that may have come from the meat or seafood department BECAUSE of him. And I had to finish my meat and seafood shopping at Wegmen's. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Oh my god! This place has recently re-opened with a new indoor style/decor. I stopped going to the other Tops, Orchard Park Road, because they do not refill self check scale paper. This one was cool, for a bit. I run in because it is easier to use a self check out. My fav store - WEGMANS - does not offer this option in West Seneca. This place was fine. For a bit. For the past three/four days I have stopped in to get corn. They have Amaize. If you haven't tried it, better yet. More for me. For the past visits I have found no freaking paper in the self serve scales. I HAVE INFORMED WORKERS ABOUT THIS. Guess what - as of 12noon today - still no papers. I don't need this hassle at the self check out. I shall be visiting a Wegmans farther away. Screw Tops.

I am forced to shop at Tops for small trips due to the closure of Orchard Fresh. I'll admit, the inside does look pretty good, and they have some decent niche products, but, as someone who used to go to the Tops in EA, I can't help but say, well, it's still Tops. 1) Just yesterday, I discovered a bottle of juice that I picked up had a best buy date of January 2020 - 4 months, 4 months! 2) The grassfed ground beef smelled rancid and I didn't end up using it. When you pay extra for something, you expect it to not to assault your senses. On a side note, Tops doesn't carry organic ground beef, because it's still 2004. I used to have to go to the the Tops in EA because it was closer to me and I would have to inevitably return something due to spoilage, past dates, etc. Tops is still Tops, it appears. These things never occur when you shop at Wegman's, and never occurred when I went to Orchard Fresh.

Not to be confused with Cops, which are wayyyy more expensive (when they pull you over) and wayyyy more dangerous (depending on which Cops). Located around the back of one of my favorite places in Orchard Park where I go for salad when I'm down here, this Tops has a few issues. It's busy and it's hard to get into and they've been out of things that I needed a couple of times like kale for example. And then another time it was wilted kale, when it was supposed to be fresh. So it's not my favourite store and the prices are always jacked up (like me, oooh) when it's supposed to be a kind of a discount store. But as I said that is not the worst location and the girl checking me out the most recent time I was here was super friendly. And was checking me out. In more ways than one.
